We have supported this business time and time again just to be upset every time because the breakfast potatoes that come with the mini breakfast sandwich were never ready. We quit coming to this location and started taking our business to the Deer Park location where they never ever disappoint they are always fully stocked with whatever we pick from the menu. The La Porte location is closer to home so today we decided to give them another try after about 6 months without coming here. Well guess what?! No breakfast potatoes again!!!! At this point they need to just do without and take them off the menu. Another thing the breakfast sandwiches come with so little meat, I suggest pressing down on the sausage patty to expand it and make it be fuller at least so that if you don’t plan on adding the extra meat to cover the sandwhich (meat that we pay extra for) because when you order the breakfast sandwich that describes what it comes with which shows meat included then at the register they charge you an extra $2.50 for meat. I see the potential here the taste in food is great and the coffees are also great. Its just the small things that makes us support Deer Park location. We won’t be coming back to this location in La Porte, you can’t convince me different plenty of...

On 01/17/2025, I had the pleasure of dining at The Cuban Café in La Porte for breakfast, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. I ordered the Cuban French Toast, which came with French toast, bacon, and home-fried potatoes. Every bite was a delight.

The French toast was perfectly golden, with a slight crisp on the edges and a soft, flavorful center that was rich but not overly sweet. The bacon was cooked to perfection—crispy, savory, and the perfect complement to the dish. The home-fried potatoes were a standout on their own, seasoned just right with a satisfying crunch on the outside while staying fluffy inside.

The portion size was generous, the flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was inviting. It’s clear that they take pride in their meals. The warm and welcoming atmosphere of the café made the experience even better.

If you’re in La Porte and looking for a delicious breakfast, I highly recommend The Cuban Café. The Cuban French Toast...

Authentic Cuban coffee! So good and energizing. I got the Three egg breakfast with home cooked potatoes and onion with sausage and cuban toast perfect for dipping into my over medium cooked eggs; tasted like grandmas house! I then topped it off with a plantain and cream cheese empanada they are small but tasty flakey goodness:). Perfect with the Coffee. My daughter got the cuban breakfast sand-which which came with fried potatoes also she said it was most tasty the bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. I took the breakfast burritos to go for my husband and son and they were huge!!!! Chunky goodness inside with scrambled eggs potatoes and cheese! Had ro take a bite although ai was full. So yummy!!!

The Building: The outside is nothing to rave about and I actually drove past it...on purpose; but turned around after seeing some of the reviews. They are expanding so cannot wait to try this little cafe again and see where they go in...

Was at the end of my birthday weekend in Crystal Beach and we stayed a couple nights in La Porte. The wife found this place online. We love visiting small, family run businesses so we gave breakfast a shot. This joint is a joint, but in a good way. The owners are so nice and accommodating. I asked for a Ropa Vieja, 3 egg omelet (not on the menu) and they made it. The Cuban Breakfast sandwich is delicious and the bread they use taste as if was flown in from Cuba. The potatoes are crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle (like they all should be) and the empanadas...hands down the best ones so far! And of course the coffee. They have a small coffee menu but so far, everything we've had is great. The Cafe con Leche and the Mocha (dark chocolate, always!) are smooth and delicious! So good that we came here the second day on our way home. We'll be back!
