Shully's Cuisine and Events — Attraction in Thiensville

This company has no compassion. With the onset of the pandemic, our wedding had to be moved to our home state and having shullys cater was not an option. Not only did they keep our deposit of almost $5k, they wouldn’t even work with us to see if we could provide a donation in the amount of what we already paid in food to a shelter. Their communication is poor. I’m very disappointed in how they’ve conducted themselves.

Update: When Shully's contacted me regarding my review, they were self centered enough to only focus on the fact that they were losing money from people cancelling and their only solution was to rebook for next year, despite Covid-19 numbers going up, there being no guarantee of a vaccination timeline, and the still present risk of putting our family and friends at risk if we were to move forward with a catered wedding ceremony. A conversation about returning our deposit or donating the amount of food we have already paid for to a shelter was not entertained, and we were simply told that it was not possible because they couldn’t rebook our date and they were losing money. Our cancellation was conservatively 7 months in advance, and given the nature of the pandemic worsening it is unreasonable to consider rebooking the date in the first place. Again, all this is concerning food for which we have already paid. After doing a quick google search, I found there were stimulus packages offered that they could take advantage of to offset potential losses for situations like my own. I appreciate they called me to address that communication was poor, but they offered me absolutely no reasonable options and only called to possibly get us to rebook. We do not even know where to begin on how amazing it was to have Shully's as our venue and caterer for our wedding!! Shully's is an amazing venue due to their beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces! Their food is also so delicious! They have so many options and listen and accommodate for food allergies and dietary needs. We got many compliments on the food.

When we toured, we met their event coordinator, Olivia, who we worked with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Olivia is a gem in the wedding industry! We could not say enough to summarize how amazing she was to work with. She made planning so easy, answered our many questions promptly and kindly, and was so organized! Her and her staff took on the setting up of our ceremony and reception spaces, which took lots of stress off of us and family members day of. They did not miss a detail the whole day! The wait staff was so kind, and they efficiently delivered all plated meals and tended to guests throughout our entire dinner. At the end of the night, they made sure to box up some desserts and our leftover dinner for us to take home! The bar staff was also so amazing and quick! I have had an opportunity to experience Shully's Cuisine and Events on many occasions from experiencing beautiful weddings , enjoying the fun filled Biergarten to devouring the scrumptious zero contact catering. The manner in which the Shully"s approach every event is thoughtful, creative , professional and caring. Attention to detail and carefully catering to the needs of their clients is clearly evident in each event I have had the pleasure of attending. The incredible beauty of the East Lawn and the Watermark is a bride's dream come true! The Biergarten has offered a welcomed charming outside venue during these challenging times. The food goes without saying is so delicious and innovatively created by visionary chef Hadley.
