Anythink Huron Street — Attraction in Thornton

I love going to this library, especially taking my daughter into the kids section that has lots of toys for her to play with, not to mention coloring sheets and computers. It also has a little outdoor enclosed patio for the kids right off of the kids section. I will say it's not always the quietest library since there is usually a fair amount of people here (especially the kids section), unless you go early in the morning. But I like their selection and the layout. And the fact that they have lots of comfortable places to sit and read! I love the little playground out front that I can allow my child to play on before going inside as well. It's easy to drop books off with their drive-up book drop; in fact they have two book drops just outside...

The librarians are unwilling to help with the simplest of tasks such as printing a few coloring sheets throughout the day, specifically for those with special needs. They are willing to sit for hours helping others with resumes, applying to different jobs and finding books but this same hospitality is not shared with special needs people. The employees sit playing chess and the manager doesn’t want those with special needs to bother them even if it’s just asking how their day is going. Helping the public is not in the job description here I guess. Ive never had another library's staff complain to their manager or the manager having an issue about having to help the public but this one will. I would recommend any other library...

Yes, this is a wonderful library! They recently switched out their playhouse for a puppet theater show and puppets! The inside of the artificial trees there have been various things to do like yoga with the bunny, sounds of nature, sounds of animals and insects, lego building. This is probably one of the better libraries with many programs, sessions, and activities geared for kids. It even has lounge areas for the parents to sit and watch your child's energy run out. Oh yeah there is even a huge screen tv with a child's appropiate aged cartoon playing in the background and only volume low enough to hear from the comfortable...
