Churreria Dulce Luna is the cutest little coffee shop I've ever been to. I happened to chance upon it on January 26th and going was the best decision! (Sorry for the late review!)
The atmosphere is warm and cozy and really feels like you're just chilling at home, away from all the hustle and bustle. The people are very friendly and more than happy to answer all of your questions. Annnnd if you decide to get a hot drink there, the mugs are so cute! And I say that because they're all unique and different and not just your standard white/cream color.
While the place is on the smaller side, I could still read at a table and not feel overwhelmed by the rest of the customers inside. Which is huge!
We ended up trying so many different things: -Iced Horchata Latte (8/10) -Bacon Avocado Toast (8/10 - a little too much bacon for me, but my friend gave it a huuuuge 10/10) -Iced Churro Latte (7/10 - the idea was there but the flavor just didn't quite make us say 'churro') -Hot Matcha Latte (10/10 - by far one of the most delicious matchas I've ever ordered) -Mini Churros with Nutella & Fresh Strawberries with an added scoop of strawberry ice cream (My friend gave this a huge 10/10, but I wish they had different flavors. I unfortunately don't like nutella but they did a superb job putting it all together! I mean, just look at the picture!)

Read moreI went in and ordered three traditional churros with chocolate sauce and a café de olla. Pretty simple order but it took very long to make. Prior to my order a young lady placed her order and received her order in a timely manner. My wait was about 30-35 minutes. My coffee came before my churros but no one notified me my coffee was ready … it was just on the counter until I decided to walk up to the counter and ask if it was my coffee. At that point a couple came in and placed an order for churros and coffee and their order was ready prior to my three churros. The couple finished their coffee and churros and left and I was still waiting for my order. I finally asked the young lady at the counter about my order and she went to the back looking lost asking about my order. 10 minutes later the order was ready but I didn’t even get a “So sorry for your long wait.” I had to ask the lady why it took so long and all she said was “The deep fryer is not working properly.” Yet the couple after me got their churros and coffee and had no issues. A customer service class would greatly benefit...
Read moreI was looking for a small and cute cafe in the Thornton area to get some work done (and away from all the Starbucks around) and I’m so glad I came across this place! I loved the ambiance, the music, Mexican decor and vibes. The staff and service were great. They were both so kind. I ordered a cappuccino with oatmilk and it was delicious! It was served in a beautiful Mexican ceramic mug and plate. I l then took an horchata latte and traditional churros to go for my fiancé and he really enjoyed them!! The churros were fresh, well-fried (crispy on the outside and soft in the inside) and with a strawberry dipping sauce 🤤I don’t live in Thornton but when I’m back in the area I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend this place especially if you want to support a local and Latino owned business. Their coffee and churros is some of the best I’ve ever had. Thank you, Churreria Dulce Luna for a lovely experience and highlight...
