Absolutely PHENOMENAL full day charter! We hit shark tooth island and Daufuski where Capt Matt gave us a custom tour of the island in his limousine golf cart! At the end of the day he dropped us off at the Wyld Dock Bar for a sunset dinner and drinks. Capt Matt was knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and made my family feel at home on his super cool boat. We found about 40 sharks teeth in a fairly small amount of time, while wrangling 3 little kids. Core memory status and I cannot recommend Matt and Low Country Drifters enough. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. They also run a water taxi between Savannah and Daufuski if you're in need, keep that in mind. We will 100% be chartering with them again. Seriously, book them NOW before they're booked up.

Few details of our charter included a great tooth and fossil hunt on shark tooth island at low tide.

Lunch and drinks at old Daufuski crab company (home of the Scrap Iron!). There's also a cool playground for kids here.

A personally guided tour of the island, with stops at a Gullah cemetery, honor system metal art gallery, a stop at an all organic farm with a tour (goats and chickens and bees, and a big old farm dog named Hawk!), and probably the nicest beach in the greater savannah/Hilton head area...warm water, white sand, and only one other small group of people on a HUGE beach.

Then Capt Matt brought us back to town and dropped us off at the Wyld Dock Bar.

There were multiple dolphin sightings throughout the day, and we saw Pappy the Gator at the old light house...

My work team recently booked an outing with Low Country Drifters and our tour was wonderful! Captain Bryan was such a great guide. He shared so many interesting stories and history about the area that made the trip even more special. It was such a unique way to spend time together as a team. We stopped at a little beach and found shark teeth, which was one of the favorite parts of the trip with our group of coworkers. Then, we headed over to Daufuskie Island for a golf cart tour, where we learned even more history and got to see the island, where we rode along the beautiful beach and had a chance to hear the waves. The whole experience felt so welcoming and relaxed. The communication booking the trip and the day of the trip was great as well. Our questions were answered in a timely manner and their website has a ton of useful info. Low Country Drifters’ hospitality is top notch. I highly recommend this boat tour for anyone looking for a...

We had an unforgettable experience with Captain Bryan on our private shark tooth excursion in Savannah! From start to finish, he made the trip not only fun, but genuinely enriching. He shared so much fascinating history about the land, the native peoples, and early settlers during the boat ride—it felt like we were getting a tour from a historian as well as a seasoned captain.

Once we got to the island, the hunt for shark teeth was an absolute blast for my wife, my son, and myself. Captain Bryan made it easy and exciting, and we all walked away with awesome finds and even better memories. You can tell he puts his heart into what he does. On top of that, he’s a military veteran and runs this family business with his wife—just good people all around.

We couldn’t recommend this experience enough. If you’re in Savannah, do not miss the chance to get out on the water with Captain Bryan. It was the highlight of...

Wow, wow, wow! If you want to learn tons of history about this low country area, have a phenomenal tour of the waterways and/or nearby islands, this is the place and Captain Bryan is the guy to hire. We had a boat tour that we purchased at a silent auction (a generous donation from Low Country) and took 2 friends that live in South Carolina. We went to Daufuskie Island, seeing amazing birds along the way all while hearing about the area. At Daufuskie he had a golf cart to take us around the island and again knew so much about the island. And he knew the good places to eat (and drink)! On the way back we saw tons of dolphins-he knew where they were! We can't wait to hire him again to take our grandkids on a fossil hunting tour!
