This place is lovely. Large enough to take a jog or stroll. 1 of the playgrounds is fenced in so little ones are safe and parents are given benches to sit and watch. The kids loved the Lion head water fountain. Clean bathrooms, basketball courts, tons of pavilions. Very nice place to bring the whole family. They even have a free library box with somthing for all ages!

Beautiful park near the center of Thurmont. Plenty of shade to stay cool, but if you love sun, there's plenty of that too. The main park in Thurmont, it has several rental pavilions, first-come first-serve grills and picnic tables, and multiple playgrounds for the kids, as well as a fitness trail.

Nice park. Love that the front playground is gate enclosed. Big plus for parents of little ones. The walking path was beautiful and kept clean. Like the exercise equipment available on the path for public use. Parking was easy and shaded in areas. Another bonus for summer visits.

My sister and I attended Colorfest in Thurmont. The main streets are closed to traffic, and their are vendors galore! The Thurmont officials were at every street corner, keeping drivers and pedestrians safe. And they all had a smile. Even though it was a damp day, it did not deter all the visitors to this annual event. I enjoyed a pit turkey sandwich that was so thick with meat I only ate half. One of our favorite finds each year are the homemade apple dumplings made by the local church ladies. Mmmm good! Everyone was having fun, lots of friendly furkids, and some old favorites...grape Nehi softdrinks, kettle corn on every corner, local artistry, and kids in strollers and wagons. We will definitely return...

This was a crazy venue crazy time that a pastor friend has set up a booth and I worked it with him. Is a wonderful place it's a crowd of people everywhere it's got all the carnival ride just got all the good eats is just a fun place to see and to experience. It is crowded there are scores of people everywhere but you can get in shape leave a walk around all day for one price there's everything you can think of and a farm show Canova park family...

The park is nice. The only complaint I have is the park is for kids 12 years and younger but the equipment is geared more towards 5 and under in my opinion. My 9&11 year old couldn't play comfortably because the equipment was was too small. We did a picnic in the park Christmas Eve. It was nice to have pretty views and tons of tables to choose from. The fitness trail is a decent walk with things to entertain your...
