Food Lion — Local services in Thurmont

We been shopping here for 10 plus years and never a issue until today it's pouring outside and like everyone else we pulled our car up front to load our very large grocery cart. The lady was bringing carts in and didn't realize I was waiting on my husband who was pulling the car up. She was complaining to someone else about having to bring the carts in I am assuming the boy who usually does it was out today. Well when my husband starts to pull the car up she started saying some very nice things about how he can't do that I had my daughter with me and this lady called my husband an @sshole in front of my daughter so she obviously didn't realize we were all together until she came back out for more carts I told my daughter to get in the car and told the lady that we aren't the only ones who pull up to load groceries like this and how I didn't appreciate her tone in front of my child. Food Lion of Thurmont Maryland is the best grocery store I've ever been in by far!. By best I mean, it was super clean, and the vegetables were fully stocked, and shiny, bright vibrant colors, nothing seemed old. The deli, and bakery were all stocked nicely, and everything looked in place, and actually made you hungry looking at it. The meat was wrapped tight, and looked bright red, and fresh. Everything was fully stocked. All the other aisles were fully stocked, and the items were pulled, and fronted. It looked SO GOOD in that store that I told the cashier how wonderful it looked in there. I have never been to a grocery store that was that perfect. Even the floors were spotless! Apparently have to be 21 now to buy lighters, only at food lion. Cashier scanned my ID (I’m 19) and said she “can’t sell lighters under 21” due to it being tobacco paraphernalia, I work retail so I know the age is 18. I asked her if the law recently changed, since I’ve purchased lighters there before. She said it’s been like this for at least 3 years since she worked there. According to MD law, lighters are not tobacco paraphernalia. Please fix your system or educate your employees! I even have attached the current MD code regarding tobacco paraphernalia laws and it states nothing...
