Fullwood Park is a clean and well maintained family friendly park with all the amenities that are needed during a park visit with children and even older adults.
There are 2 playgrounds. One is in the center entrance of the park and it is the main playground with a lot to offer including shelters, restrooms are close by, parking is near on both sides of the playground and there are big swings and the smaller child swings as well.
The only thing that I don't like about this playground is that it has a few maintenance issues and could use some updating as well. Other than that we love this park.
My child likes the big purple slide located in the main playground the best and I like that there is a sidewalk circling the playground, I use it for not only a boundary for him not to go past but also, I walk while he plays.
The second playground is located in the second smaller park entrance and parking is limited. This playground has a lot less entertainment but is quieter which will attract people because of that alone. There is a shelter close by for parties and the restrooms aren't that far away, a quick walk across a bridge and you are there. The swings are newer on this side but there aren't any for smaller children. Also, the equipment for the playground is the wooden type.
The bathrooms haven't changed much in past years but if you have a need to use the bathroom then they will suit you just fine.
There are also young adult activities, like the frisbee court, that are perfect for keeping you entertained.
During December there are Christmas lights and they have in recent years been updated.
Throughout the year there are a wide variety of different festivals and other events that keep the park busy.
Oh, did I mention there is a dog friendly area on the 12th street (access road) area of the park. Fenced in and with different fire hydrants and such.
I will add pictures of the different...
Read moreFulwood Park in Tifton, GA, is a hidden gem for families looking for a fun, laid-back spot to unwind. I stumbled across it during the Rhythm & Ribs Festival, and let me tell youâthis place knows how to host a good time! The park itself is a solid 28 acres of green space, perfect for picnics or just letting the kids burn off some energy. Speaking of kids, the playground looks pretty darn newâshiny slides, sturdy swings, and a jungle gym that had the little ones buzzing like bees. Itâs clear theyâve put some love into keeping it fresh and family-friendly.
The Rhythm & Ribs Festival was the real kicker, though. Imagine smoky BBQ wafting through the air, live music bouncing off the trees, and a crowd of folks just soaking in the vibes at the Syd Blackmarr Stage. Itâs a full-on sensory partyâribs so tender they fall off the bone, and a beat that keeps your toes tapping. The parkâs layout made it easy to wander from the food vendors to the stage without feeling cramped.
Only downside? Itâs not a secret spot, so during events like Rhythm & Ribs, it gets busyâparking can be a bit of a hunt. But honestly, thatâs a small price to pay for a park this welcoming. Whether youâre there for a festival or just a sunny afternoon, Fulwoodâs got that classic community feel that makes you want to come back. Bring the family, pack a...
