Hello, I have debated for a while whether to write this, but I feel it's important to share my experiences with others. I was a frequent shopper at Pineapple Post for many years. I always loved going in there and perusing their items. I've purchased many a gift in there and many a gift was purchased for me in there as well. However, I have not been back since July 5, 2023, and I don't plan to return. Firstly, I noticed everytime I went in that the level of unfriendliness was palpable. I thought it was me, until my daughter said they treated her "snootily" in there one day. The straw that broke the camel's back happened on July 3rd, 2023, when I went in and purchased a couple of items for myself. One item was a bracelet on the 50% off table. I paid and they did not give me a receipt, just said "Thank You" and handed me my bag across the counter. I showed the bracelet to my family at dinner while it was still in the box. I removed it to give my daughter a better look, and the bracelet totally broke with beads flying everywhere. I picked them up as best I could and noticed the string on the bracelet was yellowed and old. I thought, no problem, I'm sure they'll let me return it for at least a store credit. When I went back, the salesgirl called the owner directly, who told her that "All Sales Final" for items on the 50% tables and that it even says it on the receipt (which was NOT given to me, BTW). The salesgirl said that I could try re-threading it myself, but when I told her beads went all over the restaurant, she just sorta smiled awkwardly. I put it all back in the bag, walked out, and I will NEVER return to this store again. If I need a gift, I'll get it from elsewhere or order from someone online. For those considering shopping/buyer from here, above all else, for goodness sake, don't buy anything off the 50% table without careful inspection, and don't leave without a receipt. May save you some...
Read moreEdit: if I said, I heard it was a lovely store and all my friends shop here even though Iâve never beenâŚ.it would also be hearsay correct? And this is true because I have plenty friends who shop here and sing praises. But it would still be hearsay.
But thatâs the kind of hearsay businesses like. Listen, Iâve said what I said. The situation couldâve been handled better.
It was a certificate without an expiration date and it was written by your store. Therefore the customer was not at fault. If you were in the wrong, then the least you couldâve done was apologize.
Youâd be surprised how a simple âIâm sorry maâam. I was at fault for this situation. I wrote this a year ago and I sincerely did not remember.â Couldâve cleared everything up. But there wasnât even an apology?
It is your right to look into anything as the business owner, but what you do and how you do it are two different things.
. . .
Rude owner. Donât shop here.
Yesterday someone I knew went in there with a gift certificate to buy some things. It was her first time in there, but the owner insisted that the certificate was fake and they hadnât used it in â12 yearsâ and she had to âinvestigateâ. Surprise, surprise after her âinvestigationâ it turned out that it wasnât fake.
Suddenly it wasnât that the certificate hadnât been used in â12 yearsâ instead, she ârememberedâ that there was a day when the machines were down and they had to write it out.
Owner suddenly insisted the certificate had to be used that day and all kinds of nonsense. This was ridiculous. But I guess itâs to...
Read moreI was shopping around town with two of my friends and suggested we visit this store. Upon entering, there were two women at the register who did not speak or even smile. We slowly made our way around the store picking up items here and there when we came upon another associate who also ignored us. Finally one of my friends mentioned that no one had spoken or offered to help us in the 20 minutes or so the we had been in the store. We then put all of our items down and left. Needless to say, no suggestions to have a good day were offered. Based on the lack of customer service, I would rate the store at 0 stars if possible but the store has such cute and unique items. Itâs really a shame because I would love to shop there, but I prefer to take my business where itâs valued. The staff was very sweet years...
