Nice enough considering it’s Toledo 😏 don’t really understand why there’s auditorium like seating with airplane trays 🤷🏻♀️though it was nice to have some type of tray at my seat. Having to climb over people to get out of your row; it’s just a sucky feeling trying to skirrt my ass down and over whomever would rather just stand up and pause instead of walk into the isle. Throws a person into a full state of anxiety, risking rubbing your arse on the back of someone’s head whilst also having all of the anxiety about trying to shimmy past my row neighbors without having to rub our body fronts together😥😩😖☹️ it just shows that when this spot was built, they cared only about making money and how any regard to guest comfort was/is irrelevant. How much profit goes into the consumer’s cost of box seating per head?? Everyone is packed together very tightly like a can of sardines. Food was pretty good; salmon “with béarnaise” and a chicken piccata were served buffet style for the main entree. Also salad, rolls, roasted carrots and dessert served afterwards, third quarter-ish; a selection of NA beverages were also available. There is a cash bar, super DUPER basic wine selection; all bottom shelf Napa’s; I remember now, they only serve Barefoot varietals 🤢it’s as if the University doesn’t do much or care to provide all of the razzle dazzle and the dream that should be included with box seats. Our server, Chelsea was so polite and literally the best and I thoroughly appreciated her kindness and professionalism. It was my first time there and I was with my dad; as soon as we walked through the door, Chelsea immediately said hi to my dad by name. Listen, my review sounds like it was a pretty meh experience. All of the staff were absolutely AWESOME, polite, super friendly. My dad is 82 so if you don’t know him and are waiting on him, he can unintentionally act in a way that can thoroughly be perceived as douchebaggery 😅 Chelsea was/is so super kind that I don’t think it phased her. Apparently it’s a thing for Chelsea to bring my dad a plate of cookies/dessert once it’s available; Thee experience was fun but idk wtf their coach was. At one point a play had started and 8 seconds later a player ran out onto the field like wait for meee! How did that even happen?? Even though we absolutely murked on the other team (CMU) I was just left with a bad taste in my mouth and a whole ass feeling of ick ::shivers:: because of how TU was behaving on the field towards CMU. Even though the final score was somewhere in the vicinity of 52-7 us, it’s as if the team was acting as a pack of newly pubescent teens; just flexing with raised hackles instead of, idk, maybe trying to better themselves as a whole. I just feel like if it’s a runaway game, the team on top should utilize the rest of the game as practice or scrimmage. Utilize the time to perfect plays and what not. Again, I cannot stress it enough, Toledo freaking WASTED CMU, the EN.TIRE. GAAAME yo! Someone please tell me why I literally watched two UT players come up on a CMU guy and as a conjoined effort, proceeded to pick homie up off the ground and body slam him, back down, back smacker. I was just left with all of the ick after witnessing the mentality of the players and the lack of presence from the coach. These kids are bullies. The admin is a...
Read moreThe Glass Bowl is one of the nicer Mid American Conference stadiums with great view from any seat, affordable pricing with discounted tickets for kids at every seating level. The aesthetic has a rocky castle vibe with turret towers and a cannon emplacement that fires after every Toledo Rockets touchdown. The food options are ok. You'll get standard fair of hot dogs, brats, burgers, and Dominos pizza. Deets BBQ truck was on site for this particular game as well as a draft beer truck. They offer snacks like Toft's Ice Cream Pints, popcorn, hot pretzels, gummie bears, cheese and caramel corn, candied almonds, and chocolate covered pretzels. The prices are reasonable compared other entertainment venues. The stadium offers a 50/50 raffle that supports clubs and organizations on campus. One thing I really appreciated was that parking is free in designated lots and I had plenty of parking to choose from in my preferred lot. The tailgating is strong, particularly in the season ticket holder lots.
COVID note: Masks are encouraged but not required in the stadium.

Read moreGood luck getting into the stadium on time. We arrived to the gate line 30 minutes before kickoff and didn’t even get to the ticket scanner until kickoff because the line was so long. Not sure if they only have 2 gates or the ticket scanners didn’t know what they were doing but it was terrible. Additionally, part of college football is the marching bands and neither Toledo’s nor the visiting team’s band were allowed to shine because the stadium was playing terrible music at max volume the whole time. I’m a college student and enjoy most music but they were playing weird underground songs that I have never heard (and for good reason, they sounded terrible.) The only reason for the star is the beautiful architecture of the stadium. However, the current way it is run is terrible and I could see the stadium becoming one of the worst experiences in college football in the...
