I personally have not enjoyed my experience at UT. I love the law school but the rest of the University has given me a bad experience. My list of complaints is so long I wont even bother writing it all down. For starters, there are alot of incompetent/rude staff, the facilities are run down, the equipment is old, currently there are huge cutbacks with the medical center, pharmacy, facility hours of operation, and the hiring of essential personnel. The gym has limited hours and equipment compared to Kent State University and closes during football games and closed for over a month to fix "water leaks" during this past summer. The gym turns lights and tvs off sometimes a half an hour before closing, and doesn't fix broken equipment. Toledo currently has a selfish administration that keeps increasing their salary and letting everyone else take the hit. Parking enforcement is relentless. I have paid $150 every semester and have received over $200 in parking tickets because there are no spaces and not having a front license plate on my vehicle. The surrounding housing is cheap but horrible. I know of many students who have had to take their landlords to court over terrible housing conditions and let's not talk about the dorms. I've seen the international ones and it is terrible. Toledo in general has just been a very unpleasant experience for me, the city has a very limited budget and does a poor job making things flow smoothly. Go somewhere else, I promise you...
Read moreToledo isn't the worst college you could go to, but it definitely isn't the best. The parking enforcement here is awful. Their policies honestly make no sense and are only in place so they can get as much money out of you for parking tickets as possible. Anytime there is a new policy update/change, they don't inform the students, which causes many of those students to receive tickets. Another area of the university that is not very pleasant are the dorms. I am currently living in McKinnon Hall and do not like it at all. The dorm is filthy; it was clear that it was never cleaned before I moved in. Upon move in I found earrings, socks, dead bugs, layers of dust, etc. On the topic of bugs, they're everywhere. My room has an abundance of spiders, centipedes, ants, etc. They don't bring in exterminators either, just the "sticky traps" to "catch" the bugs. Also, do not live in room 3010 in MK South!! They do not tell you this, but this room is actually half the size of all the other rooms because there is a stairwell cutting into it. Unfortunately, I have to still pay full price for half the room space. On other aspects, the school isn't too bad. I have had my share of good and bad professors, but there are many clubs you can become a part of to take up some of your time, because the campus itself is pretty boring. Overall, I would not tell you to avoid comping to Toledo, but just keep your...
Read moreI had my worst years in my life at this school. I went to Respiratory Care program and it put my life down. Instructors have never encouraged me, and always put me down and let me feel stupid. Although I graduated from this program, I still feel the pain of every moment I was in class. Treated Poorly. The program has a lot of things that need to be changed. I still can't believe how we do our rotations for 24hr/week without getting any point, and 3 patient assessment/semester without any point either. I also can't forget when my teacher said " you are the lowest in the class" I was like WHAT? why she said that to me? I haven't even asked her. Plus, she was lying cuz I knew my friends grades. Is it because I'm an international student, or is it just her personality, or is it me so kind and respectful to her as a teacher. All the instructors of this program are unprofessional. They put us in stress the whole time. Till the last moment of the program, you don't know if you are passing the class or not because every thing depends on the finals. Literally, my life sucks at the UT.
DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM AT THE UT TO...
