Kaw River Rustics — Attraction in Topeka

I went to Kaw Valley Rustics on Thursday afternoon. I was greeted after coming in by a gentleman who has checked me out with purchases many times. His greeting to me was you in need to leave the store now! I thought he was joking with me initially, but it turned ugly on his part very quickly. He proceeded to flip through his phone for a picture of a gentleman that he made the horrible assumption was me. He proceeded to tell me that they had caught me on tape urinating in multiple booths in the store. He wanted me to leave the premises immediately. After looking at the picture of this gentleman on his phone he finally was convinced that it wasn't me. The resemblance wasn't even close. I could have chosen to make this situation very ugly, but chose not to. I have done multiple hundreds of dollars business in this store in the past. I really have reservations of ever returning again. This experience has left me incredibly upset, I wasn't impressed by the sheepish apology offered. If I choose to do business at this store again I hope I don't have to deal with this type of greeting....

I went to buy on of their items on Facebook. I expressed my love for the item and that I could pick up Friday after work at 5 or Saturday from 1-3. Mind you I am over an hour and half away. I informed them I would pay an additional $20 to meet so we could work within the time frame they have. I did express some frustration of their unwillingness to work with the buyer. Essentially the response was since I was unwilling to take off work they would not work with me. I'm completely disappointed. I loved the item but the expectation that I would take off work as the buy and the seller was completely unwilling to even meet me half way. I am sure they have wonderful items in their shop but their customer service is...

I found it to be far more than I imagined driving by...With the basement,main floor and upstairs art and such there is much to see...Each Area or booth seems unique in itself with a very wide spectrum of neat things at prices I was surprised at...Topeka needs to support these local artist and business owners and at the same time invest in a piece of history or art or even some local honey or canned items all of which can be a lil gift to you or someone you know....I thought the people there were very kind and helpful and it so nice and tastefully done.I look forward to...
