No one outpizzas the hut? Yeah, they say no one outpizzas the hut, and you probably think so, but if you do, then you'd be wrong. That's because Doughboyz outpizzas the hut. I fricking love the food at Doughboyz Pizzeria, it's genuinely top-tier level pizza. I'll start with the toppings first. The toppings they put on the pizzas are delicious, the pepperonis are nice and crispy, the bell peppers and other vegetables are warm and cooked to perfection, and the sauce is sweet, savory, and delicious. So delicious. The cheese is perfectly melted and savory and not too watery, actually, it's not watery at all, but also not too dry either. The crust is hot, crispy, buttery, fluffy, and delicious, it's so soft, but at the same time, slightly crunchy, but in the good way, like as in the perfect amount of crispiness. I've had so many parties here so many times, and they were always the same, same high quality, crispy, delicious, freshly baked pizzas, same crisp-cool drinks, same friendly workers, and same amazing and wholesome atmosphere. Oh! Speaking of atmosphere, I almost forgot to tell you about the atmosphere. It's always quiet, but not too quiet, just enough quiet to hang out and chill, there's always some nice ambient noises in the background, like doors, footsteps, a TV playing, and people talking. There's not really much of a smell, but it smells nice, and so does the pizza. The tables and seats and floor and ceiling and plates and everything are so fresh and squeaky clean, so I always feel safe and confident eating at Doughboyz Pizzeria, which is one of the key factors in maintaining a nice restaurant with a calm and overall just amazing atmosphere. There's also an arcade. The arcade is peaceful and usually just devoid of humans, which is nice. It's also cheap to play the arcade games. Everything about the restaurant except for the food part is true about the arcade. I totally recommend going to Doughboyz Pizzeria for a...
Read moreSecond time ordering pizza here. Fis rst time decent. Not fantsatic, but close and convenient. This time I THOUGHT I ordered two 14" pizzas. Used the Google ordering system BECAUSE when I called they were very busy and I was "asked" to try to order online or my wait would likely be very long. That was when I should have ordered elsewhere. But I ignored the flashing warning lights in my head. When I picked up my pizzas and after paying about $45 with a $5 tip, I received two overcooked 10" pizzas. The owner explained that the Google service takes a fee and I should have used his website to order, I explained that I had tried but the website was down. He said, "ya, our payment system made it crash" or something of that nature. The cashier said I should have called. 🤣 It was at that moment I knew I was up against forces beyond my desire to argue or offer reason under the circumstance. So if you want to spend $45 bucks for two small pizzas that would compare to a frozen Red Baron thin crust with coagulated red sauce that now looks like red toothpaste. Then, this is your place! But I will say the toppings I chose were represented on the pizzas but they were mixed up rather than on each pizza as I ordered them to be. Live and learn. Sklp doughboys unless they get a whole lot better. Pro tip for business owners, when your website is down, instead of directing the customer to use it (even though he can't) to avoid excessive fees, maybe offer a coupon on a...
Read moreFor $41 we got 2 large drinks and a 4 inch long Italian sandwich with so little toppings it was dry and pointless. We also got two small single pizzas. There were so little toppings I almost started laughing. Ironically the owner was eating a pizza he made himself right behind me. It looked great with the proper amount of toppings and cheese. I wish mine looked like that especially for $40. Only my second time there in 3 years and I won't be coming back.
In response to your reply. It's very simple if you short people in your community 100 times and 1 person complains you are gonna make out like a bandit. When restaurants in Topeka start doing that, even chain restaurants. The parking lot starts to look like yours five out of seven days a week....empty! You have a history of being a hot head so why am I gonna ruin my night having to deal with your attitude because you wanna make pizzas like that. It's pretty bad when I ask people if they have been to your restaurant and they tell me they would rather go to cicis. Good luck at the wing event this weekend. Hope the wings are better than the pizza. Also the reason you wanna take care of it face to face is so people don't see stuff like this. Be honest and good to your community and maybe your parking lot will fill up...
