I purchased many appliances through Agrens and have been pleased to do so. I have shopped with them rather than searching for deals on line and purchased high end equipment for value (Liebherr, Miele, Asko). My refrigerator developed a whirring noise that quickly developed into a sound so loud that it was impossible to run it while in the house - I could not even sleep in the bedroom. After looking at the refrigerator I could see it was the evaporator fan - and it was in a housing that an amateur could not get to. I called Agrens and asked for service help (they only work on appliances they have sold) - while the sound was in the background and the nice lady could hear. She said it would be month before they came out - and $25 just to make an appointment. I explained that this was refrigeration and not just a dryer or a dishwasher - she understood and was hoping to get a cancellation "this week" where they could come out. No one came out - no one called. I called back again in 10 days and she wasn't available and I got a guy. He said he couldn't see even IF I was on a cancellation list and "he would put me on one." I was still waiting and waited another 10 days. At that point I did my best to get into the housing of the unit and disconnect the fan (breaking a small plastic part). I could not afford to be without a refrigerator. It's quiet now. I plan on fixing this myself with a new part since (modified) since the motor for my fan is no longer available. I don't know what more to say, except Agren's has failed me, and failed my loyalty in more than just a month delay. They should be ashamed...
Read moreIn the early days before starting our kitchen remodel we went to Agrens. At that time we ordered our range hood and dishwasher.
Two weeks later we ordered the range and was told it would take three weeks to arrive. This was earlier than needed but we would find a place to store it.
After about a month, my wife was told the range would take six weeks. Again, this was fine.
During construction we found out that the hood that was sent was a 30 inch model. The range that we ordered is 36 inches wide. Because of the time crunch we went back to the store and picked out a different brand that they could get on short notice.
We don’t like it nearly as much as the one we picked out.
A few days later we found out that the range would take about 12 weeks to arrive. This was not going to work.
My wife went back to the store and shopped for another range that could be available in a reasonable time.
She is a former pastry chef, and had a short list of requirements. One of them being the oven being able to fit a full sized sheet pan.
The salesman said it would.
After it is all installed and the house is less of a construction site, my wife decides to bake cookies. You guessed it, a full sized sheet pan doesn’t fit!!
Agrens wants a 20 percent restocking fee to “fix” their mistake!!
For those of you keeping track, out of three appliances, we received one that we actually ordered!

The guy says if you want black you’re talking August, I said ok, he then started mumbling about checking online and he then said, you’re talking months away with 80 people waiting, I can’t even tell you when. He said I can get you stainless steel, and I said no thanks. I said it was available online, and he said yes, but you’re not listening to me, we can’t get one. I said do we order it ahead and he said you can put half the money down and cancel anytime but I don’t know when, there’s a lot of people waiting. I said, why is it available online? He said, I’ll say it again, you’re not listening to me! I said no, and I won’t listen to anyone talking to mw like that. Very degrading, with a narcissistic attitude. I went next door to Home Depot, and they said yea we have them, let’s go order one for you, it’ll be here in 5 weeks. I said ok, can I pay for that now? He said sure! You can pay right here.
