Disappointing Experience at Torrance Location
I have been a loyal customer of Staples for over eight years, relying on your services for all my printing and marketing needs. Unfortunately, today I had the most frustrating experience I have ever encountered.
I visited the Torrance location this morning to print Avery labels, a product sold in-store. Several employees showed me how to print Avery labels using the self-service stations. However, when the service station was not working, I called for assistance. An employee named Kristen B. approached the station and began helping another customer before assisting me, even though I had specifically informed her that I was the one who had called for help. She then continued to assist the other customer, which I found both rude and unprofessional, leaving me feeling discriminated against.
Once Kristen B. finished helping the other customer, she assisted me and informed me that I could not print Avery labels in-store, despite the fact that Avery labels are sold at Staples locations. I was confused because, in all my years as a loyal customer, I’ve always been able to print Avery labels in-store. Kristen’s response was not only condescending but offered no solutions. I even showed her the Avery labels I had printed just moments before, which made her statement that the printers couldn’t handle the labels seem absurd.
At this point, I requested someone else assist me, as Kristen seemed unfamiliar with the issue at hand. Unfortunately, this experience has left me very disappointed, and I will no longer be recommending this particular location.
As a business owner, I value customer service, and I believe that further training is needed for Kristen B. to ensure such situations don’t occur again. Kristen’s behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional, which made for a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend her assisting customers on the sales floor, as her attitude was off-putting and did not reflect the level of service expected. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address the concerns raised.
If you’re in the Torrance area, I recommend visiting the location on PCH instead, as their customer service is outstanding, and they are dedicated to helping you find solutions.
However, if you do visit this location, I suggest asking for Mustafa in the Print and Marketing department, as he is the ONLY reliable employee there and honestly...
Read moreThis location is obviously understaffed and cant handle more than 3 people in the store. As soon as I walked in the door, employee asks if we have any questions..before the doors even close behind us as we walk in?? Then while my friend is printing paperwork, I ask about business cards and lady tells me she called someone to meet me at printing area at the counter. I wait at counter for about 12mins, no one shows up and then I have to use bathroom so I walk to cashier and ask for bathroom door code and she says she'll call someone to meet me to input bathroom code..wonder how long I would have to wait for no one to show up to bathroom too?! Why can't I just punch in bathrm code myself?? Store had only 2-3 other customers besides my friend and I. Store wasn't busy at all. Why ask if we need help second we walk in door and then disappear and 10 mins later no one can help with anything or even give out...
Read moreStaples has an Amazon return. I bought a $48.00 mattress pad that was uncomfortable, It was vacuum sealed, so I couldn't get it in the small pog. I put it in my own clear plastic bag, a long with the pkging and went to Staples. I had my QR code radio, first thing out of the employees mouth "we can't accept that because of the packing. It says right on Amazon, no package necessary. I Asked for the Manager. Renee came over said "no, we can't accept that. Her male employee chimed in also "no we can't accept the package blah blah blah". Rene , as a manager was standing behind her employees, yet they were wrong. I took the PKG to UPS. No problem "We will ad a little tape and your good to go" Instead of saying "No". work with the customer! It's an agreement between Amazon and Staples. Staples should be happy to help Amazon customers, they may even get sales from...
