The park has restrooms that are generally unlocked, baseball fields, a kiddie play area, a full-size basketball court, and a tennis court.
A lovely gated 9/11 tribute portion that must be seen, as simple words cannot begin to describe the magnificents.
Last, the small yet noted cons: The pond is murky as its primary source is polluted by runoff water. That is to say any cigarette butts, antifreeze, oil, fertilizers, plastic, and other irresponsibly disposed or induced matter spills into the pond via the street drains. In days of yore, the clean water actually served as a swimming/bathing area during the hot summer months. There is a beautiful fountain in the center of the pond, Canadian geese and Mallard ducks are present during the warmer months. Fish are found in the dirty water — primarily, carp that some crazy individuals fish for, catch, keep and ingest. Read moreGreat place for the kids to run around and play. Open all year round. I have a 9,6,3 years old kids and the park offers variety of play area. Tennis, baseball field, basketball and the playground for older kids and smaller toddlers. The county workers are great always on top of the park making sure the area clean and also safe. My only problem with the place are the people who uses it and abuse the playground i wish there was some security to keep people in check. The tennis court which i would love to use but unfortunately the nets are broken missing middle tape. We do love going there regardless. Very pretty and nice to walk around the pond. Highly recommended...
Read moreEvery time I go I swear I see 1) people feeding the birds bread/chips/food they SHOULD NOT consume 2) people chasing the birds for the sake of chasing them. Beautiful, serene area. I think the park staff could be doing more to ensure it stays that way. The one sign stating "don't feed wildlife" is not enough and it's not even near the shady area people typically feed the birds. Makes me uncomfortable to watch. Other than that, great local park. Wish so many stupid people...
