Villa Barone Hilltop Manor is the absolute most amazing place to have your wedding! You must go check out this place as a venue! I remember the day my fiancé and my parents went here. We were there for about two hours, and Nick (one of the owners) gave us the most VIP experience you can imagine. He took his time and explained every single detail of that wedding day from first look to ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception, to Venetian hour. I knew in my heart that this was going to be where we had our wedding.
If you want to be treated like royalty on your special day, this is the place to be. I was a Covid bride. We had three different dates in three different years all at the Villa Barone Hilltop Manor (September 2020, May 2021, May 2022) Every time we had to change our date, they were beyond accommodating. Nick and his staff were extremely professional. I knew when the time came, they were going to deliver.
Everything about this place is beyond beautiful. They go the extra mile to ensure this venue has high standards in regards to cleanliness and appearance. Every chandelier sparkled!!
When our day came (May 29, 2022) everything was strategically planned and timed. I had absolutely no worries! The staff treated my guests with the upmost respect. Each person working your wedding had a mic and ear phone. Every step was calculated and everyone was on board.
We had a first look at their lakefront property. It is right down the road from the venue. What other venue do you know that has a separate location on the lake for pictures?! BEAUTIFUL! Starting with valet parking, you knew right off the bat that this was going to be a classy affair. The ceremony location outside on the stairs was magical. The cocktail hour blew everyone away because there was still more food to come at the reception. The reception was awesome. We were in the grand ballroom and it absolutely dazzled. They even went around and offered our guests seconds for food selections. Then Venetian hour came. This I feel was something so different & mind blowing! They rolled out the tables of small desserts and it kept coming! There were beautiful ice sculptures, and pyrotechnics, and chocolate fountains, and any and every dessert you can imagine. This display was something else! I have never seen anything like it at any other wedding I have been to!
The Villa Barone Hilltop Manor in Mahopac, New York exceeds expectations. I had a bridal attendant named Ashley. She was by my side from the time I got out of the limo to the time we left. Anything and everything I needed she was my right hand person that day. I’m telling you, it was the most amazing experience. Other venues do not have this. Classy classy classy place!
Nick also referred us to Runway Photo and Westchester Floral. I had the absolute pleasure working with Dom from Runway. We went to New York City to Central Park to take our Engagement Photos back in October 2019. Danny from Westchester floral made sure our floral arrangements were beyond outstanding. He is so talented and has such an eye for things. I am extremely grateful for Nick and his referrals to top people in this wedding industry.
Thank you Villa Barone for making our long awaited wedding day something we will never forget! Thanks for treating us like family! We love you and appreciate...
Read moreIt's with utter sadness I am writing this review. When I walked into this venue and got to see the beauty and elegance this place offered, I immediately fell in love. John and Vinny were just amazing to us. Treated us like family, always made sure we were comfortable and were certainly not pushy whatsoever. They offered us so much and gave us the perfect wedding I could ask for. My husband and I were not very happy with our Maitre D, he was very, very pushy and seemed to not really care about much other than finishing the wedding to set up for the next one which made us feel rushed. Not to mention all of our things were taken from the Bridal Suite before our wedding was over and thrown in a closet without us even knowing and I had to walk through the other event coming in, in my wedding gown to go retrieve my things. After the wedding and after we got back from our honeymoon (which we left for early the next morning), we went through all our belongings we got back from Villa Barone. Just about everything was carelessly thrown back in the boxes we gave them in, my glass decor was thrown in the boxes, not even wrapped, out of the boxes they all came in on top of not even getting some of those boxes back. The bag that my white cloak was in that I used for photos had blood stains on it, pictured below. The cake cutter and server we used to literally just cut our cake, which was a gift to us by a great friend, was completely scratched and obviously not taken care of - it looks as if they were thrown or rubbed up against something in the kitchen, pictured below. The glass dome pictured below, which I made, was not returned to us at all, it's still missing. One of my themed characters, pictured below was broken because it was just thrown back in an open box with other things on top of it and not the box it was given to them in - its head is hanging on by the smallest bit of plastic, and can be turned almost all the way around, it was never like that and I have a video of that as well. We contacted Villa Barone once, twice, three times. One time being told by john he would get back to us, another time being told by Vinny he has to speak to John and other times people saying they will relay the message which probably didnt happen and we still have heard nothing from them. This is just a very disappointing experience. We understand John and Vinny didn't do this to our stuff, but they are responsible for their employees and its disappointing that such an amazing beginning and middle, had such an unprofessional end. We paid for a beautiful wedding which we got, but our property should have been handled with the same care as they handle...
Read moreThe Villa is the reason I was able to honor my marriage with the celebration it deserved. I was also able to host my guests like royalty. I only get married once, so the fact that it was a beautiful and tasty celebration will always allow me to look back fondly. My (230 person) wedding was on June 4, 2016 in the Villa Barone Hilltop Manor and I was blown away. The level of professionalism is one that leaves no detail unnoticed, and no question unanswered. With the Villa, the food/bar/cake/wait service was all taken care of—it was nothing but smooth sailing. Nicky made me feel at ease because from the moment we started talking about the date/size of my wedding I knew he was a wedding expert. He knows the trajectory of a wedding night like the back of his hand and I was able to run ideas by him to know whether or not they logistically made sense. The staff is dressed impeccably, they are well-spoken, and addressed my guests professionally. The staff made sure that we (the wedding party) had food and drink in the bridal suite after we finished taking photos. That kind of detail was something I appreciated, because we were hungry, thirsty, and ready to have fun! My bridal attendant was like a dream bridesmaid —she truly catered to me and it made the biggest difference. The maître d kept the night running so smoothly, his level of experience is one that is unparalleled. I’ll now move onto what most people couldn’t stop raving over: the food. no establishment has ever blown me away the way the Villa did. Every single thing tasted fresh, perfectly prepared, making it hard to believe you were in a catering hall. The Viennese hour was something that I still hear about weeks later—any kind of pastry/dessert you can think of was there. My guests were in awe as was I. I got so many compliments on my cake, which was made by the Villa’s talented pastry chef. It was what a wedding cake should be: photogenic, beautiful, and delicious. During a special dance, we shocked our guests with pyrotechnics which left everyone’s jaws on the floor. The Villa pulled it off in a way that wasn’t tacky—instead it was a tasteful and fun touch to such a special song for us. The actual establishment is so beautiful, and clean. I’ve gone to catering halls where the bathrooms/hallways are less than inviting. Every part of the Villa that my guests saw (the bathrooms, the hallways, the lobby area) was clean, beautifully decorated, and inviting. I took family photos by the waterfall and from the proofs I’ve seen they are gorgeous photos. Their lake front property for our photos as a couple made for beautiful photos too!
I'll always be grateful for the...
