Although I don't live anywhere close to this bridge, I have and continue to come through here periodically heading to points north. And because of that I listen to a few different North Country radio stations. When I heard about the predecessor to this structure having to be torn down and rebuilt, I knew I had to, one day, come through here to go over the new bridge. And besides, much like Samuel De Champlain, I love to explore places I have never been before.

OK, so it's not so "new" anymore, but I enjoy the region and on my way back from Montreal recently, I took a detour and crossed from Vermont over into NY over this bridge.

The bridge is sleek, appears to be well built and was worth the detour (which ended up being a bigger detour than I planned on, but it was a...

One of the most beautiful views on lake champlain!!! Postcard material!!! Gotta see it for yourself to understand the view of the mountains from the beautifully constructed new crown point bridge!!! The adirondacks to the west in n.y really po out at you and the green mountains of vermont to the east!!! Too bad the green mountains are alot further away so n.y's view wins! Lake Champlain without a doubt should be 1 of the great lakes because it is just that, a GREAT LAKE!!! Definately a great northeast destination to see!!! The history alone in that area is enough go see if your into that!!! I'm a bass fisherman and in my opinion the greatest lake our...

A recomend to stop and visit at least once👍Rt 17 via 22a - 9n Vermont to NewYork State. 🤔 Didn't try the restaurant "The Bridge" on the Vermont side who is always busy,...

Stunning views from this bridge, especially in October. The bridge itself is a rare combination of architectural genius and beauty. The awesome landscape combined with the historical context does wonders to the imagination. If anything, park your car and walk across the bridge and back and enjoy the sights and wonders of this area. You’ll be glad you did.

Nice boat launch with long dock. Parking and congestion can get pretty bad tho. Overflow parking is up the hill and the road is only wide enough for one direction. Can get complicated if two trucks and boats meet head on. Has one handicap parking spot. Can get annoying when sightseers and birdwatchers take up trailer parking spots.
