So I stopped in after work to pick up 2 large extra cheese pizzas. I specifically told the guy over the phone to please be sure to add extra cheese. I get there, pay for the pizzas ,drive home, open the boxes and guess what? There was barely any cheese on one of the pizzas . And to add to that they forgot to add sauce. It was almost as if it was done on purpose. The other pie had extra cheese but not much sauce either.
Anyhow,I called to speak with the manager and they connect me to some sushi manager who says we have to bring the pizzas back in in order to get a refund. He must have said like 3 times that he needs his pizzas back. I’m like that’s odd but ok. So we had to drive all the way back to Wegmans and bring the pizzas back into the store just to get a refund. After standing there waiting ,this little clown finally comes over and inspects the pizzas carefully, and then we are told this is policy or people would just scam them for their pizza. So in other words we were trying to scam them? Who would scam for cheap Wegmans pizza? Unbelievable! Never again will I buy pizza at this store,or shop here all together for that matter. They just lost very good customers all because they want to discriminate and assume something...
Read moreOkay Wegmans, you missed the boat on James Street. My first time shopping here as a Syracuse resident. I shopped here before going to settlement because my hotel was close.
I shopped the Wegmans stores in Rochester, and thought they would carry the same grocery items; gee, I was wrong here! At the hot foods counter, the vegetarian choices were not as good as they should be, and there was nothing vegan (my preference). I had regular vegetarian, which would not kill me. The baked goods were full of fat, and sugar--how nice. What pissed me off was that there were no south Asian sauces, or meals in the aisles. I was advised by a rep to visit the DeWitt store for these. Being that the closest Wegmans to my home doesn't carry all of the items I buy, I guess that I'll have to shop online, and have the items delivered. I was also searching for bulghar, as opposed to brown rice, or whole wheat couscous. Closer to home is Green Hills Farms, I love that store, but it doesn't carry many south Asian foods either, it does carry some. So, its online, or DeWitt. On a better note, the staff is...
Read moreOn August 15, around 9:30 in the evening, I stopped at this place after a 4 1/2-hour drive to grab a bite to eat. When I walked into the store, it was open, welcoming, and it smelled and looked great. Unfortunately, my experience was soured by an individual whom I caught playing with a gun in the bathroom. The way he was handling the gun and speaking on the phone immediately raised concern, so I went out to inform the staff. They quickly sprang into action without causing a panic. The individual swiftly made a beeline for the exit and left without incident.
The store employees calmly evacuated the store and closed it while waiting for law enforcement to arrive. The Wegmans security team arrived to ensure the scene was secure and gather information. The police were able to arrest the individual a few minutes later.
The way the Wegmans team reacted indicates that they have the right training and leadership to handle such situations. I would definitely shop here again or in any Wegmans, knowing that I'm not just a customer, but part...
