A Step Ahead L&L Daycare, Inc. — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

My daughter is a very apprehensive two-year-old when she first meets new people. Her previous daycare closed abruptly and we were rushing to find a new one. While we were checking out different daycares, we stumbled upon this one.

As soon as we came in to check out the place, my daughter felt right at home thanks to Ms. Armand. She was so welcoming and friendly, my daughter just became acclimated immediately, even though we came after hours to just check the place out. I just couldn’t get myself to go anywhere else, seeing how comfortable she was!

She was, of course, very nervous the first day and as was I since it was a new place with new people and new children she’s never met before. I was amazed at how Ms. Armand and her staff quickly got her so comfortable. She texted me a video two minutes after I dropped her off, showing me how my daughter was now talking and interacting and feeling less nervous, which put me at ease as well.

It’s been eight months since my daughter has been attending A Step Ahead and choosing this daycare has been one of my best decisions. Every day is a celebration. My daughter has learned so much in the last eight months and her vocabulary has skyrocketed. Sometimes she comes home and talks to me and I’m amazed at how much she knows and learns at the daycare. My favorite is all the pictures and videos I receive from Ms. Armand, showing all the different things they do throughout the day.

They have so many activities planned for the kids daily and make each day very special. My daughter wakes up every day so excited to go to daycare and see all her teachers and friends. I am incredibly thankful to have returned to A Step Ahead for my son's summer camp. Ms. Armand and her team are truly exceptional. My son first attended their program as a toddler, and it was wonderful to see him back this summer. Every morning, he was excited to head to camp, eager to participate in the fun activities and trips they had lined up each day. The program was so engaging that he’d come home and go straight to sleep, completely worn out from all the excitement! Not only did they ensure the kids had a great time, but Ms. Armand also made sure they kept up with their schoolwork, so they didn't lose touch with their studies over the summer. The care and dedication Ms. Armand and her team put into this program are evident, and I couldn't be happier with our experience. I highly recommend it!

First let me start off by saying that my search for a great day care was not easy due to so many day cares closing during the pandemic. I am so thankful to have found Ms.Armand. As soon as I walked in the day care she was so warm & welcoming. She made it really easy for me to make my decision in enrolling my son into her program. All my questions were kindly answered. I was inseparable with my son for the 18 months since he was born. I had to return to work during the day. The dread of looking for a daycare as a first time Mom gave me anxiety. From the moment I met Miss Armand I felt at ease. When I visited for the first time I was pleased to find the environment filled with toys, learning activities and fun things for little people. Everything was well organized, super clean and spotless. She understood each of my concerns and provided support every step of the way especially in the first two weeks when my son was transitioning from being home 24/7 to being at A Step Ahead. The adjustment didn’t take long and my child began to love being there. It is a home away from home. He has so much fun with the other children and loves the activities-dancing, arts and crafts, sing a- longs playing outside, learning colors and more. His learning is beyond impressive and his growth in language skills surprises me daily. I feel comfort in knowing that my child is engaged in activities that support his learning.
