Eisenhower Dog Park is hands down one of my favorite places to take Piper. We’ve been going there for a while now, and every visit reminds me why we love it so much.
One of the best features of this park is the AstroTurf—it keeps things clean and tidy, even after a good play session. No mud, no mess. It’s soft on the paws and easy on the cleanup, which any dog owner can appreciate.
But what really makes this place stand out is the community. The early morning crowd is the absolute best. People are kind, attentive, and respectful—not just to each other, but to the dogs as well. Everyone watches their pets, and that really creates a calm, safe, and friendly atmosphere. Unlike many other parks where owners are distracted or get into arguments, here it’s all good vibes. It truly feels like a shared space where everyone wants the best experience for their dog.
And now, I can finally say I’ve seen the tubs in action! I’ve attached some pictures of Piper and other pups playing in the water—splashing, cooling off, and just having the time of their lives. It’s such a thoughtful touch for the summer, and the dogs absolutely love it. Watching them have fun in the water adds another level of joy to the visit.
I also have some older winter videos of Piper here, and no matter the season, this place holds wonderful memories for us. Eisenhower Dog Park is clean, well-maintained, and full of great people—and that’s what keeps us coming back...
Read moreToday was our first day at this dog park. I have a 8 month old Belgian Malinois who we recently adopted and wanted to get her socialized because she's somewhat shy. The space is great for large dogs and there is a separate fenced in area for smaller dogs. It was a little muddy in certain areas today, because like other reviews have mentioned the park consists of packed dirt as opposed to grassy areas. The other owners were very friendly and welcoming. There were about 4 large dogs there at the time and Roo got knocked around a bit, which was all in good canine fun. Just before we left, she started coming out of her shell a bit more. Had it been a bit warmer outside we would have stayed longer. She's passed out on the living room floor now. There are no bathroom for owners and although there are trash receptacles, no additional doggie bags (most owners bring their own anyway). There are a few benches and chairs scattered about for seating. It would be nice to add a picnic table and a port-o-potty for owners. I also didn't see a working water fountain for the dogs (may be turned off because of winter). Overall, we had a positive first experience and look forward...
Read moreThe park is split in two with a side for large dogs and a side for small dogs. The groundcover is turf and the park is fairly clean. In the warmer months there is a hose spigot for fresh water. There is limited seating, so you may want to bring a folding chair if you're going to stay a while. Theres no public bathrooms, but there is a port-a-potty next to the park. In summer, the large dog section gets blasted by the sun, its best to come in early morning or late afternoon. There are usually some toys and tennis balls around the park, but if you want to bring your own toys, its ok. The dogs that show up are usually friendly, the people are laid back and not too fussy about dogs playing or chasing eachother. Overall, a nice local dog park in a quiet park of...
