Read moreI used to go to Eisenhower Park fairly often when I lived in the area. It's such a huge place with so much to offer, so it was the perfect place to go to be active. Jogging, swimming, golf, baseball, basketball, soccer, and tennis are just a handful of the activities you can partake in.
The fitness trail is a nice attraction, and I used to meet a couple of my clients there for our workout sessions. From pull-up bars to sit-up benches, there were plenty of options to chose from to keep the workouts interesting. There are a few different kid-friendly areas as well that have bars, bridges, and slides for the little ones to explore.
I never played golf on the course there, but I've been to the driving range and miniature golf course loads of times. There's nothing really mind blowing about the driving range, but the mini golf course is scenic and challenging. I haven't checked out the batting cages yet, but they're at the top of my list the next time I go there.
There are also plenty of picnic tables to sit at and enjoy some lunch. I used to set my laptop up to do some work there on nice days, and the change of scenery was inspiring. I've also seen large gatherings taking place in these areas for BBQ events.
This is a great place to visit, both for activity and for leisure. Improvements are continually being made to make the experience even more enjoyable. It's a bit out of the way for me to get there these days, but I'm certainly looking forward to my next visit, whenever...
