I recently visited this hidden gem at Eisenhower Park for my wife’s birthday, and it was a lovely experience! I didn’t even know the park had a restaurant until I stumbled across some pictures online. The ambiance is stunning—earthy tones of green, gold, and white with beautiful views of the park through the large windows.
The service was top-notch—our waiter, Peter, was friendly and attentive. For drinks, I had a Bee Sting (reposado tequila, vermouth, honey, and lemon), which was fantastic.
For dinner, we tried the duck tacos, chicken parmigiana, and bolognese. The tacos were just okay; the duck lacked flavor, and we mostly tasted the tortilla. My chicken parm was massive and came with spaghetti, but the vodka sauce didn’t quite hit the mark—it felt like it was missing something to bring out more flavor.
However, my wife’s bolognese was a highlight! The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the short rib was tender and full of flavor. It really stood out compared to the other dishes.
Overall, the restaurant’s atmosphere and service were excellent, and the food was decent. We’ll definitely be back to try their brunch as recommended by Peter. If you're in the area, it’s worth checking out for a...
Read moreFirst time patron since the restaurant was renamed and remodeled. The drive up remains beautiful and the walkway to the restaurant. The restaurant itself had a mature feel than advertised, yet it was clean and classic in terms of decor. If cigar smoke bothers you, this is not the place for you because that's what you smell immediately upon entering the restaurant, which wasn't something I or my family cared for. I asked about the scent and was told there was a private Cigar Bar upstairs from the restaurant. If I was aware I may have made another choice. The food was tasty and the portions were great. I found it odd that when I walked away from my dining table to ask for cake and a candle for the birthday we were celebrating, the waitress without any hesitation came to the table and exclaimed what candles they didn't have which was disappointing because the sparkler candles are advertised on the restaurant's page and secondly, everyone knows the cake is always some form of slight surprise for the honoree. Overall it was a...
Read moreHeard great things about this restaurant and was excited to try it out. Greatly disappointed. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The service and food however was subpar. We made reservations so we got seated right away. The waiter came took our drinks and food order. Our food came and it looked delicious but it was just ok nothing to rave about. Next thing we know a waitress comes over to let us know that our waiter had to leave and she will be taking over out table. ok no worries right.... Finished dinner and we waited and waited. Our waitress never came back and was no where to be found. We even saw our original waiter standing in the corner on his phone. We finally managed to get a hold of a person and asked if we can get our check. another 15 minutes goes by and the waitress returns with a check. We looked at the check and it wasn't even ours. She had given us someone else's check!!! This was definitely a memorable experience, just not a good one. I will definitely not...
