UPDATE to your pathetic reply trying to justify charging 800$ to fix 4 rings. I waited several months to review your overpriced store bc that's when I brought other jewelry to another reputable jeweler and found out how much you ripped me off!!! I would never bring my jewelry to your shop again nor would i ever purchase any of your overpriced jewelry! You rip people off and try to justify that by saying your workers are so skilled. Gimme a friggen break!! The people I brought my other jewels too were incredibly surprised at your waaaaayyyyy too high prices. They did the repairs on my other rings without charging me a small fortune. And I completely trust them with my precious jewelry!!! Your pushy sales woman was obnoxious as well so stick that in your pipe and smoke it!!

a couple months ago I was looking for a jeweler who would be able to size several rings as well as dip them in rhodium.... well i came upon Gennaro Jewelers during a google search. read some great reviews, so i decided to bring in all the pieces. i was impressed with how they allow you to see and follow your jewelry every step of the repair process. they were very thorough in looking at the jewelry closely to give me all the information i needed regarding the type of gold, stones, etc. that's the only thing i was impressed with. I brought in 7 rings that needed repairing/sizing so i was expecting it to cost me a bit of money, however after finding out how much they were going to charge me i opted to only have 4 rings taken care of. they all needed to be sized down and also needed to be dipped in rhodium. my jaw dropped when i found out how ridiculous their prices are!!!! they charged me nearly $800 to size and dip 4 rings! that is the most outrageous pricing i have ever heard of. the gentleman who helped me told me that they check the stones before and after all rings are sized however, i have no idea if they actually tightened any of the prongs for the diamonds, because they were constantly passed from one person to another during the whole process and i don't recall seeing anyone use any sort of tools to on the stones...which btw took over 3 hours! they did come out nice, but if i could have gone to the jeweler i normally buy my jewelry from (they were closed for a period of time, during the time that i needed the repairs done) I never would have used Gennaro Jewelers. I'm super disgusted that they charge such a ridiculous amount of money for those minor repairs. not only that but they had a mens bracelet I looked at in 14k white gold that was nice but they were charging $4500 for and it wasnt all that heavy nor was it even an original looking design/link. the woman who showed it to me was pushy as hell too! trying to get me to buy it and if my husband didnt like it i could either get store credit or exchange it. i think that woman is out of her mind! Plus being pushy doesnt get you the sale lady, in fact it makes me never patronize your establishment again! i hate pushy sales people!! i ended up bringing 6 more rings to my usual jeweler once they reopened, they charged me only $220 WITH TAX for repairing, sizing and dipping in rhodium all 6 rings. very big difference in price from what Gennaro charges and the service was excellent! i ended up finding a fancy link 14K white gold heavy mens bracelet for 1/4 of that price and my husband absolutely loves it!! so beware of these people ripping you off on repairs and/or purchases!!!! i wont ever shop in their...

This is a long review - bottom line: Gennaro Jewelers is the most friendly, patient, and genuine jewelry store I've been to. They clearly strive to be as transparent and helpful as possible. Walk in for 5 minutes and you'll understand why they've been around forever. (And ask for Harris, he's awesome!)

My fiancée doesn't often wear or ask for jewelry, so when it came time for an engagement ring I knew nothing whatsoever. I'd purchased a ring and was recommended Gennaro Jewelers to have it inspected and cleaned. It's an older ring, 30+ years, and it was a big purchase, so I was nervous to have it checked out and cleaned.

Harris greeted me and shortly after, he had the ring displayed up on a tv screen so I could see it close up in detail. He took a look at it, pointed out some things I should know, and had one of his associates inspect it carefully for any damage or blemishes. As I talked with Harris, he made me feel comfortable and happy with the purchase I'd made (even though I had bought it elsewhere).

When it came time to clean the ring, I was brought downstairs to watch the process, and the ring never left my sight for even a moment; something these guys take very seriously. The entire visit was easy, comforting, and very informative.

Since then, I've returned with my fiancée to have the ring sized, and a few other times, and the experience was just as smooth and reassuring. These people are nothing but welcoming and friendly every visit.

Harris was a huge help to me. I'm not the wealthiest, so when I'm spending money, I like to know exactly what I'm getting, and I want to feel reassured it's the right choice. This guy is friendly and genuine every time, he knows what he's talking about, and I can tell he enjoys working with jewelry and guiding people (with no pressure) to the pieces they're looking for. I am truly grateful for his help.

Really everyone there is knowledgeable and friendly. Not an unhappy face in the building, and these guys have some BUSY days.

First experience at Gennaro Jewelers and it was a great one. My wife has been wanting to have her engagement ring and wedding band resized so we decided to visit after a local jeweler to us in Bethpage was closed. We were not at all familiar with Gennaro - aside from seeing it when we visited a local restaurant for breakfast a couple of months ago.

Angela welcomed us and introduced us to Gennaro. Most do not stumble upon the store as we had. They get customers based upon positive reviews their existing customers share with others. Angela took care to explain their services and what they could do in the shop on Sunday - on the same day we visited. We would spend a good 75 minutes in the store. During that time, the rings were always in view. In fact, they bend over backwards when the rings are moved from one station to another in the store. Initially, Angela cleaned the rings. She then put the engagement ring under a lens so that it could be magnified before any work was to begin. We were given a clear estimate up front regarding the cost. We agreed to have the rings resized.

The rings were brought to a series of technicians. The first used a couple of tools to ensure that all stones were secured. Angela then brought us to another station where the rings were worked upon. My wife's rings were sized to her liking and satisfaction. There were two individuals who assisted with the resizing process and there is too much to explain. In the end, my wife got back her rings as if they were brand new. They were stunning and they looked perfect. It was such a good experience that I will definitely visit them for any future jewelry needs. Customer service was five stars. Again, it is very important that the rings, especially the engagement ring, never leave your view. They made sure of that throughout our visit. We were so glad to have chosen Gennaro...
