Today I hosted a 70s party at the Loft 525. I had several quotes with outrageous prices, but Ms. Joanne gave me such a great deal I had to ask was I her good deed of the day.
Anyway, the club is located in a great spot and the staff is amazing, to say the least. The club is clean, modern, cozy, and inviting.
I had my own reservations on how the night was going to go because sometimes as the host things can become a bit overwhelming at times. However, Ms. Joanne kept me going with her infinite abundance of positivity and optimism. There were others in my group who also gave me strength, but I want to give the Loft 525 the credit it deserves.
My party was from 8 pm to midnight on Saturday, December 9, 2023. By 930 pm, a guest pulled me to the side asking when I would host another party. It took me by surprise because I was pretty stressed leading up to this day. 10 pm came, 6 more people asked me about the next party and how to get tickets. Let's just say, it's easier to keep track of the party-goers who did not ask me about a future party.
When the night began, the guests all retreated to a table. They sat at their respective tables for 20 minutes or so. Next, a few people started dancing to the Jackson 5 music. Suddenly, every seat in the Loft 525 were empty. Everyone danced and danced.
The positive energy of everyone all around and the great drinks the Loft 525 were mixing up played a great role in the huge hit of a party.
Thank you to the fantastic staff at the Loft 525. If ever I host another party, there is no question about where I would like to have it. At the Loft 525.

Read moreDO NOT BOOOOOKKKK!!! Unfortunately we made a BIG mistake and had my daughter’s 10th birthday at The Loft. Joann (JoJo) is the owner/operator there and she is the RUDEST person I have ever had to work with!! She is also dishonest!!! We booked the space for 3 hours and spent so much money. Here is some of what we experienced: We paid for a bar tender for 3 hours but she only hired him for 2 hours. Our guests arrived and had nothing to drink for the first hour of the party. The bartender walked in 45 mines late and told us that Joann only hired him for 2 hours. Joann pocketed that extra money. Our decorations vendor and DJ needed elevator access but she refused to let them use it. They had to walk up and down the steps with heavy equipment. She forced our guests to wear armbands upon entry into the space. We were never informed about guests having to wear an armband! So tacky!!! My dad didn’t want to wear the armband and he was told that he can’t get food if he doesn’t wear it. It was so embarrassing. I had no idea she planned to do that. She spilled juice all over 2 of our guests and refused to say sorry. She just yelled at my dear friends, demanding that they remove their hand bags from the table. She kept sticking her finger in the drink pitchers and when I brought it to her attention, she yelled at me too. She also refused to let the DJ start playing music until 2:15pm. Why? We paid for the space from 2-5pm!

Read moreIf there was an option for negative stars I would choose that. The woman running this facility was absolutely unprofessional, late, and a con artist. I was a part of a bridal party and saw first hand how this woman JoJo treats customers. She did not deliver on several things which I personally witnessed her promise the bride. This woman arrived 30 minutes before the wedding was to begin with the TABLECLOTHS. We had to scramble to arrange the tables before guests began arriving. The bride was so upset at the beginning of her big day. But the biggest problem was at the end of the reception, just before cake was served, this woman had the audacity to ask the bride and groom for an additional $500.00 claiming she could not pay her staff. I'm pretty sure as an owner, if you can't pay your own employee, that's YOUR problem. As such, the bride began crying and getting emotional. All of the guests went to defend the new couple and in return the staff began shutting down the party, removing decor and NEVER served the cake or deserts. At that point the best option was to take the decor and dessert and leave. Upon doing so, an elderly guest had picked up an item he had assumed was a part of the centerpiece to assist in clean up. This woman JoJo went up to him and tried to yank the glasses out of his hand without a word. He did not release the cups as he thought they were the bride's and JoJo gabbed this man by the shoulders.
