Hair Effex Hair Salon — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

If I could give 100 stars, I seriously would. This has been the best haircut of my life! I did something new and pretty drastic because I've always my hair super long or medium-ish length. This time I decided to go much shorter. It was below my breasts when my hair is straight. Like a crew inches past it. I also tried the Brazilian blowout express so I can't wait to see how that turns out when I wash and do my hair next..... just not quite yet lol. I have curly hair so I wanted to see how this Brazilian blowout express does on my hair and if I love it. Cause if I do, I'll be doing the Brazilian blowout next time instead. So my sister uses Brittany and she cuts and blows out her hair soooooo well. I used Dee today because Brittany wasn't available and I'm amazed by her talent!!! I find my hair is harder to blow out over my sister's hair, and I was a little worried trying someone new and putting my hair in their hands because I never know how it's going to come out in the end. Well, it's safe to say that I am the happiest I've ever been with anyone that has ever cut or blown out my hair before. This has been by far the greatest experience!!! I have been searching for a regular hair salon all my life, but I always have trouble because I have long, thick hair AND I love changing my hair color to different, fun colors often. When I met Karen at Hair Effex I knew this was going to be my new place and I've been coming here for about 2 years now! Karen is AMAZING! Not only does she have a great attitude and positive spirit, she is incredibly TALENTED! It's not easy working with my hair and she makes it seem effortless and never makes me feel anything other than beautiful. When I tell her the next crazy thing I want to do she doesn't tell me it's impossible and I should do something else, instead she explains what we would need to do to get there, gives me great opinions, advice, and guidance, and if I still want she says "okay, let's do this!"

When I got engaged I knew I wanted to come in and have her do my hair for my Wedding Day and she did not disappoint! For the first time in my life I felt like a model! Thank you Karen for helping to make one of the most important days of my life even more special and thank you for always being so amazing with all the fun things I like to do...

Let me just say if I can give 100 stars I would!! The salon has a peaceful and serene atmosphere and everyone welcomes you with open arms. Everyone from the girls at the front desk to all the hair stylists are amazing!! The staff is friendly, warm, and cooperative. They greet everyone with happy faces all the time. The stylists answer the clients questions and help them understand different styles, hair textures, and colors. The staff truly listen to what you want in a cut and color. They work on every detail of a haircut, color, style until its perfect. I recommend Hair Effex to everyone I can because of the amazing work they do and their professionalism.
