THE ONLY RESTAURANT THAT CHARGED US FOR A CUP OF HOT WATER? We went to this restaurant because of the good reviews awhile ago. We are senior citizens and try to dine out as much as we can. I am Polish, so I wanted to try this restaurant. Whenever we go out to eat I always order a diet soda with my meal, my wife ONLY drinks hot or warm water, in or out of the house. When we dine out, that's what she asks for a cup of hot water. We have eaten in very, very, expensive restaurants to Ihop level restaurants, NO EVER were we charged for a cup of hot water until now? Our bill for lunch was over $75. so we spent money at this restaurant? I did not tell my wife we were charged for hot water until weeks later, I knew she would get upset, I was correct about that. As being Polish, about the food, honestly we found nothing special about it, nothing to rave about, the fried pierogies we had were very bland. I've bought better tasting pierogies frozen, in a supermarket! So, being not at all impressed with their food, and being charged for a cup of plain hot water, that was the first and last time we will ever go there! There are too many better restaurants for us to enjoy, and spend our money at that WILL NOT CHARGE FOR A CUP OF HOT WATER! UPDATE: 4/15/2024 The owner replied back saying that they DO NOT charge for hot water, hearing that I was lucky enough to find the receipt for that lunch, you can barely see the date, but it was on 7/26/23, there on the receipt you see a $2. charge for soda, that was for me, and under that is a $2. charge for WATER, that was my wife's hot water! BTW, I stated I spent $75. for lunch, I was wrong, it was more like $94. plus I gave the waitress a nice tip too. I know this was awhile ago, but I was thinking again about a Polish meal and this incident came back to mind again, it bothered then and also now what happened, this time I wrote the review!

I really wanted to love coming to this spot. Reviews looked great, pictures of food looked great, but oh my was the visit a disappointment. With only one other table coming to sit at the same time as our party of five, we waited 20ish minutes to order and then another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. While waiting, a party of five who came after us were getting their food. The restaurant filled up while we waited, and once our food arrived.. the kids meals were missing. When I asked what was going on, they responded, "so many orders came in at the same time and we are backed up." A few minutes later the chicken fingers indeed came out, freshly picked from the fryer. The waitress reiterated, "these take a long time to cook!" My kids had already eaten most of my food at this point and are hardly eating their chicken. So, with being treated as a dummy for not realizing fried chicken strips take close to an hour to cook, the other tables have already finished their meals. Being an authentic polish spot is nice, food was pretty good, but how do you keep in business like this? Good luck to these guys, a fresh pierogi is nice, but I don't want to wait an hour for one.

We had wanted to try this place since they opened and finally got a chance. Everything was amazing! My boyfriend got Matzoh Ball Soup and the Polish Platter. I got the Kielbasa Platter with Cucumber Salad. The kielbasa was delicious - not fatty nor salty. It was grilled which gave a nice "snap" each time your fork took a piece. The pierogies were huge pillows of deliciousness. Soft potatoes that melted in your mouth. With the Polish Platter you get 3 different ones - potato, meat and sauerkraut with mushroom. Also with the Polish platter, you get Golumpki (stuffed cabbage). OMG! This thing was like a meatloaf and could be a meal in itself. I got the Polish cucumber salad and it brought back memories of when my grandmother would make this every summer with the cucumbers from our garden. For beverage, I had the Strawberry Kompot. I think they need to put that on the menu in pitcher size. It was that good! Prices are very reasonable and food is homemade. Service was outstanding and came with a smile. We cannot wait to go back again. I definitely recommend eating here. You will not be disappointed.

Ok. I really LOVE some of it's comforting foods;...at some times!; &, they are Great! There are some fine: foods; &, tastes, here; (altho, not w/: much diversity; &, variety);...yet, its' arrival, was MUCH needed there; in that location!; &, it can be very good at: making efforts; &, doing unusually accomodating service;... but, these things are true, merely, at times; &, this place is, also, tastefully; but, very, very, minimalist; &, modernist style decored; which is Not to everyone's taste; &, is also, most tragically, keeping a floor plan, that's too densely tight packed; restrictive; enormously over-cramped; &, crowd overflow confining!! The bottom line is: this eatery is useful ONLY for: take-Out!! Eat-In No longer works!! There are many Very tasty foods on the menu; yet, in most all of their examples, my body is simply just, -far too sensitive to tolerate! Additionally, their days; &, hours, are: -far too short. Yet, the, biggest objection of all, here; is this: the, rapid take-out crowd, is a, MAJOR; massively, disappointing disturbance!; for the in-house eating-consumers, who would attempt to eat-in; making this very quickly un-comfortable; &, un-livable, as: an dining-in place; besides the kitchen being slow, is that, also: nearly always, one gets cold dishes served; w/: all orders! Warmth most of all, is, in all probability, usually, the number one most valuable aspect to respect in dining out; &, home-cooked meal consumption! In these cases, w/: quite a, great many dishes, their kitchen is a disappointment; due ONLY to; &, simply, because of, the hard fact, that: too many very significant; &, important items of theirs were served tearfully COLD!! Resultingly, overall, there are still way far too many EXCUSES, &, definitely, all too easily, those so-called: "harmless-fibs", are being tossed around this place, on an, Ever-OnGoing basis! NOTE: PLEASE ALSO: I say sincerely, this;...Be wary too, of a great many adverse; unhealthy; &, painful body reactions to a number of their food ingredients, if you have any food conditions that do NOT enjoy compatibility w/: a, very greatly large number of very common items, in many commercial; &, civilian uses for ordinarily consumed menu; &, meal item dishes; ingredients; components; &, designs; i.e.: milk, LACTOSE, cheese, sugars, fried foods, gluten, white flour, fats, meats, processed foods, chemicals, preservatives; etc. These multiple, odd situations, occur, at both lunch; &, dinner; &, include, some: to-go orders, such that, can, indeed; be, literally: PAINFUL for huge demographic counts of the world's human population; or, even, cause severe sickness; albeit, tho, for others whose bodies are not so affected by such food ailments; this place will perhaps instead, be a, good experience; &, surely even, a, joyfully sentimental one, for some fewer, overly-nostalgic others, depending on: you; your needs, situations; and, conditions; etc.!
