John Cranford Adams Playhouse - Hofstra University — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

Shame on Hofstra for running a place like this. I’m not certain if Hofstra just leases the space or runs the theater-in any case, it reflects very poorly upon the University.

We went as part of a school trip.

The show was very poorly produced...it was not the actor’s fault, but the production value was so low, we made a recommendation to our district never to attend another show there.

If we spent half the price, it would be too much...and yes, check their prices, they aren’t giving...

The auditorium is huge and nice with a stage. It was outfitted with a retractable screen for presentations. The seats are decent but not recliner-capable. New paint, wood panels, and new seats. Looks 10 times better. Not so easy to see right off of Hempstead Turnpike servicing Uniondale and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Small parking lot with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Moderately clean facilities. Public Restrooms. No elevator. ...
