Au Bon Pain should be translated to " WHAT A PAIN" , I mean the parking aspect🙆seems like it is geared toward residents and students. But don't be deterred👆
I was there today to pick up some brownies, they didn't have chocolate (BUMMER), popular I guess? The workers, 3 professional lovely ladies calmed my nerves with a suggestion of Blonde Brownies. How could I pass up such hospitality 🫵😜. I bought $20 dollars worth. I mean Au Bon Pain has some really good brownies. This establishment is the ONLY one currently servicing SUFFOLK COUNTY NY. Long drive for me, but worth it considering the next location is Elmhurst Queens? 😞I DON'T THINK SO...LOL Anyway I was greeted with kindness, and understanding in regards to my chocolate dilemma. Parking can be the real issue, if you're an outsider like me. I mean as soon as you drive down California Avenue you will see Big Signs reading restricted, will be towed and No Parking signs between the hours of yada yada yada. Well I can provide one with some suggestions? Lenox Avenue is a dead end street in the direction of Au Bon Pain. At the end of the dead end, is a walk through entry that will lead you to California Avenue; walking distance to Au Bon Pain. Driving south on California Avenue before front street there is some parking in front of some residential homes but read the signs.
All in all i would have to say that I will be back. Smile in hand🤪👌
