Incredibly rude staff. I just wanted to buy gift certificates and they kept us waiting at the entrance, and when I was finally allowed to walk up to the register to buy the gift certificates, they wouldn't let my brother or son in just to stand next to me while I purchased the gift cards. They weren't even asking to go deeper inside, just stand by the register. I mentioned my brother had come from Queens to see if the place was suitable for his two-year-old and they gave me a hard time about that.
I understand that they have private parties, however, we weren't asking or going past the register area to buy gift certificates. This is absurd.
I ended up spending the money at Urban Air instead. The staff needs to treat people like humans. It's not at all an unreasonable request to have my son or brother stand next to me at the register, well away from the private party.
EDIT 1/3/25: I am so completely floored by the owner's response here. A) We had three people, my son, myself and my brother. Never asked for a tour, simply asked for them to walk with me to the register to buy the gift certificate and B) I never cursed at your staff. My 10-year-old son was right next to me. Are you people nuts? Why would you just post a load of baloney like this, a month after I originally posted, as if you actually remembered this?
If you look at all my reviews, you are only one of two places I have ever left a negative review. I think your falsified response proves that I was right about this place.
I simply walked out and bought an Urban Air gift certificate instead, where they treated me pretty well. I am just completely dumbfounded by the owner's...
Read moreWe have been coming to Planet Play since it opened and can not recommend it more! First, the place is CLEAN. I do not know how they keep is as spotless as they do given the number of children and adults running amuck but, every time we are there it is spotless. It is also FUN. My kid has a great time in the bounce “house”, the jungle gym, the arcade games (kid sized air hockey and whack-a-mole for the win) and I can’t pretend that the couple times I’ve had to go into the jungle gym to get him that I haven’t also had a great time. There is a toddler play area, conveniently located near the CAFE, because someone knew what that were doing. It has a bunch of activities for the kids, and seating for the grownups to enjoy their refreshments (which are really good, tbh I was surprised the first time I had one of their espresso drinks at how delicious it was). We’ve also been there for their Halloween and Christmas EVENTS which are a fabulous time. They have characters, tattoos, snacks, crafts, dancing, etc. Planet Play is fairly priced. It’s on par with other indoor play areas and they do offer some pay in advance deals, and around the holidays a pretty cool gift card deal. And, their staff is amazing!!! Everyone that works there is super FRIENDLY and helpful. I normally try to balance my reviews but there is literally not one slightly negative thing I can say about...
Read moreToday was one of the worst experiences, I can’t begin to describe the anger and rage I feel. My son is a black Autistic child . We went to Planet Play to have a good play day. During my son’s time there 3 Caucasian kids took notice that my son is non verbal. They made the decision they were going to bully him. The first time i saw them hit him I immediately intervened told them to stop hitting and to not play with him anymore. Then a few moments later they followed him into the bouncy house and all 3 of them jumped on top of him covering him into suffocation. The parent stood doing nothing as I spoke to them demanding them again to stop hitting him. The mother did absolutely nothing. The moment I went to retrieve his items as we’re definitely leaving. I turned around one of the little boys punched him with both hands in the stomach. The parent insisted she spoke with her kids but she made no attempt to intervene. This is definitely unacceptable! This is supposed is a place of inclusion. I shouldn’t have to come to play space and worry about racial and disability discrimination! There should be more monitors on the floor observing the children to make sure they are playing safely and fairly with each other. I’m extremely angry and disappointed. I won’t allow this to happen to...
