If you are hoping to have an event where you and your guests are treated with respect, I would suggest looking elsewhere. This is not an ethical company. Unfortunately, I didn't find out they are con artists until the day of our party. We booked a charity event and were completely disgusted with way Sapphire Yachts operates. We paid for an open bar because we did not want a cash bar, and we sold tickets as such. I found out they made it a cash bar (for premium liquor) without our permission, even though we had paid per person in advance. This only came to my attention when I heard their bartender, Dot, being rude to one of my guests when he questioned the cost. I was so embarressed. We covered the upgraded liquor at the obsurd full price per drink and then they wouldnt make any adjustments for the original package. So, essencially, they took double the money and saw no problem with it. Didnt even apologize for going behind my back. Also, they moved the boat from where we were originally told it would be docked. They did tell me about the move and said they were just moving it to another dock like it wasn't a big deal, and we would be using the same parking lot. Of course I thought it would be on one of their docks in front of their office. What they failed to tell me is my guest had to walk across the street, down the block, through an outside bar, past people eating at tables, and down a different dock, only to enter the boat through the staff entrance because the dock wasn't long enough to reach the guest entrance. The first thing our guests saw was a toilet bowl. Classy. There is more but I think you get the picture. They seemed great up until 1 hour before the event. Don't be fooled into booking an event with them, clearly they know how to...
Read moreIf you are looking at other venues..stop looking now. We had a graduation party last night and to say that we were happy with our decision to have it here..would be an understatement! We were blessed to have it here!
We looked at other venues, but I immediately felt a bit overwhelmed because the price didn’t include this or that, we had to find a dj, there was no parking, I had to order cake, etc etc..
From the first tour..to the actual event..there is nothing that I have a negative word about. The communication, the staff, the view, the dj, the food, the air conditioning, the yacht, the cruise, the drinks, the decor, the cake, the security..the evening was just perfect! People were dancing upstairs, eating downstairs, cooling off from dancing outside, enjoying the view outside, taking pictures, laughing..smiling and being goofy in the photo booth :-)..made my heart happy!
I am normally a little OCD when it comes to planning events and I worry that I will not get what I paid for. I don’t mind spending $$ if it is worth it..this party was worth every penny. The one price that included everything..cruise, music, food, drinks, parking, security, photo booth, cake.. was so worth it! All we had to do was choose our menu and show up!
Everything went so smoothly..and Cindy and her staff were so attentive..we actually enjoyed the evening immensely! Being able to actually enjoy an event and not show up stressed was such a gift! Everyone said how delicious the food was, what a perfect night it was..how much fun it was! What else could we ask for! Thank you to everyone at Sapphire for such a...
Read moreWe went out for their Fourth of July cruise. At $350 per couple our expectations were quite high. Half the Staff was very friendly and very accommodating the other half never smiled once and looked miserable being on the boat. We had to sit out at sea for an hour and a half because the boat is not an allowed to go through the bridge during holiday until midnight due to regulations. After a half hour being on the boat we came to find out there was no running water in the bathrooms or at the bar! This was not fixable and we should’ve returned immediately to the dock. Because this was extremely unsanitary! This meant no one could wash their hands including the cooks as well as the bartenders on the wait staff! They also had to take three men in order to pull up the Anchor. Apparently it had broken a couple of years ago and they didn’t bother to have it fixed because they only dropped Anchor once a year and what was the point. We almost missed the passageway to get through the bridge because they had such difficulty getting it up. Very upsetting to watch. I will say that the food was very good and we could see the fireworks clearly in the far distance. My suggestion just go to the beach with a picnic basket or a blanket. It definitely was not worth the money! I feel ripped off! 5/11/2019 so shortly after the review I was contacted by one of the Owners. I called back right away with my name number but never heard from them again. Not sure if they made any upgrades or any changes, but not sure why no one ever called me back, I still...
