Sea Horse Gift Shop — Local services in Town of Hempstead

We went to this store yesterday, selected a hanging shell and was about to pay for it when the salesperson saw there was another price on the shell. The manager quickly intervened and said we can’t sell you this item for this price. My wife asked why since the price tag showed the price that the salesperson had said it was. The manager angrily said ‘No, I don’t. It was a mistake!’ No apology or a counteroffer - silence!

We were shocked at the inappropriate poor customer service. The manager was very rude and disrespectful treating us this way in front of another customer. It was embarrassing and unacceptable for a business person to act.

What happened to the business slogan - ‘The customer is always right.’? The manager should have allowed us to purchase the item based on the price tag, not a hidden separate price inside the shell!

We walked out very upset and disappointed. I would never go back to this store and never recommend...

We stumbled across this fabulous gift shop and have been coming to the mile for years !! Had family in from Ohio . As we entered the store we were greeted with huge smiles ... along with a history of the type of shells and aquatic materials we asked about. I brought a gorgeous hanging ornament, which is very unique, photo posted . Also purchased a sea shell ball . And they sell ethic mermaids which are very beautiful 😍 and would make any little girl of colour feel special!!! Will be back for gifts for friends, uniquely made charms , wind...
