Audio Planet Inc. — Attraction in Town of Huntington

I brought my 2011 BMW 535 here because the factory subs stopped working suddenly. I asked mike for some advice and he told me he could install the amp and sub i had sitting in my garage at home rather then wasting loads of money fixing the factory subwoofers that didn't really even pack a punch. Mind you, another place in hempstead said he couldn't install after market stuff in my car because it was too new and BMW makes things difficult....??

So i went home and picked up the old stuff in my garage. I brought it back on a friday morning and within 3 hours my car was ready for pickup! When i picked up the car everyone made it a point to tell me my subwoofer and box were in terrible shape and i should replace them asap. The car sounded great to me and i figured when i have some extra cash ill replace it. The install was super clean and neat. The amp was so nicely mounted and wires were all hidden. I also had a universal knob to control the sub installed near my right leg in the front. This too was done very nicely and clean.

Fast forward 5 days and my newly installed subwoofer stopped bumpin!! I was bummed. I called audio planet and they were nice to me even though i used old equipment that wasn't purchased from them! Surprise! And they were gonna check it out and fix it for free if possible! Even bigger surprise!

I brought the car in and they checked it out while i waited. Turns out my box was super damaged and it blew out the fuse. They set me up with a new box at a super CHEAP price. Not reasonable.....CHEAP!!! and it sounds even better. The recommendation they made initially was spot on! I am very happy with the service and finished product i received from audio planet! My car sounds way better then stock and I am excited everytime i jump in! Thank you Mike and audio planet. I will be back and will refer...

I hate to leave a one star review anywhere but I have no choice. About a year ago I got a subwoofer installed in my Volkswagen. After the install the subwoofer would cut in and out and the amplifier would clip constantly. I understood this may have been the fault of my factory head unit shorting so okay whatever. Now, today I go to uninstall the subwoofer from the box and they stripped the life out of every screw in the box. I spent 2 hours this morning killing my wrist because these guys stripped the screws so badly I am currently on my way to another shop to see if they can salvage it. Stay away from these guys they also charged double what other places charge

This is an edit to my review and a reply. The timeline was off, okay but my complaint stands because the timeline makes no difference. You guys never installed the brand new parts from sundown audio correctly. Sundown is the top of the line, I even returned and got another new amp and sun because you guys blamed the amp and sub back when this all happened. Doesn’t excuse how badly the screws u stripped either. I shouldn’t have been charged around 1000$ to install a sub and amp that didnt work correctly from the minute they were installed. I also had to find this out myself you guys never said it wasn’t working correctly. Just kept blaming different parts. I wouldn’t have even wrote this review if you guys didn’t strip the screws so badly I will up the review to 3 stars because you guys did an excellent job on my tints. *UPDATED - Got a new car recently and returned to Audio Planet for another radio upgrade. Guy is AWESOME! Made the perfect recommendations based on my wants and needs. The radio and backup camera they installed in my car is just INCREDIBLE! They did the work fast and neat - no concerns about damage to my brand new car! I really LOVE this place! I will be going to see them again next week with my moms brand new car to get her a remote start, radio and backup camera. My car is also getting window tint (they do EXECELLENT tint work) and a remote start as well. Go see these guys! You will NOT be disappointed.

Excellent service! Great pricing! I am a repeat customer because Audio Planet has always treated me respectfully and all of the work they have done for me has been top notch! The first thing I had them do for me was to upgrade my radio. I had asked them about getting new speakers to accommodate the new radio and they told me my stock speakers were fine! Mike told me not to spend money on new speakers as they were unnecessary! Awesome honesty!
