Black's Hardware — Attraction in Town of Irondequoit

I will always recommend Black’s Hardware because they know the value of customers, I had gotten a sidewinder key cut for my Buick a few weeks ago because they have the best price in town, I noticed the fob got scratched and when I confronted the clerk I wasn’t pleased with the response so I decided never to to patronize them again. But to my surprise, I decided after checking around they were still the best option, I went back. I sat in the parking lot contemplating if I really wanted to, I went in and made my re request for another fob the manager remembered me, he spoke the person servicing me and he made my key, perfect, when I got ready to pay the small price of $25, he refused to take my money because they believe in taking care of customers and correcting any mistakes, thanks again...

Old fashioned hardware store that had what I wanted after going to the local box stores. They make keys and sharpen knives also. My three stars is because of the the cranky old white guys at the counter. Yeah, they have been working there a long time and probably need to retire. Their depleted testosterone levels are in need of a boost in order to dial down their cranky level. Customer service is less than stellar because they can't fake being nice. I also noticed their cranky level is improved when they speak to male customers. I will go back there again, but I will expect the cranky customer service treatment. Shame because otherwise it is a good old fashioned hardware store which deserves 5 stars. Just ignore...

I went to Black’s Hardware with my old shower handle to see if they could help me. I have always had good experiences with the old owner’s and I’m very Happy to say that this was a good experience again. I met Joe, who was very helpful! He went above and beyond working with me. I went back home with the knowledge of how to remove my cartridge and replace it with the proper part. The crazy thing is Joe did all this for me without me even purchasing anything.(he didn’t want to sell me the wrong part) I want to say thank you Black’s hardware, I will definitely be doing business with you all from...
