If you are thinking about having a massage done here PLEASE DO NOT GO!! I had the worse experience this morning on Feb 6, 2016 at 9:45 AM. I am a mother of three and I just gave birth to my third baby 2 months ago. I went to the spa so that I can release tension in my back and neck from my recent pregnancy and to also relieve stress and relax my body. As I was driving to the spa I was caught in traffic and plus I live an hour away and ended up being late and I gave them a call and told them that I would be late and the person I spoke to said it was not a problem. Once I got the place and parked I receive a phone call from my baby's daycare center saying that MY BABY IS SPITTING UP BLOOD, after hearing such news I could not even concentrate I just wanted to leave right away and rush him to the ER, but I still decided to go inside being that I was already there just as courtesy to the staff and to let them know that I can't do the massage because I have to take my baby to the hospital. The manager as she called herself said to me that "First of all you are late and the massage therapist has to get paid and if they are here waiting and the customer don't show up they still have to get paid". I got upset and said to her that I just explain to you about my family emergency and its as if you don't understand. She then said that I am a mother of two so I understand but what you need to understand is that these massage therapist has to get paid and she said I don't know what I am going to do. She said I will give you a call and let you know whether or not I am going to charge you still because she has to talk to the massage therapist first to make a decision. At that point I felt like I was being threatened or forced to do the massage or else I would be charged regardless of my family emergency. I went back to my car and called my husband and see if he could take the baby to the doctor instead and I would meet him at the hospital. I had to go back inside and did the massage which I did not enjoy because all that was on my mind was my baby I just gave birth to two months ago being in the hospital. I had the worse experience. The customer service was horrible and the manager/director has no compassion or understanding for people with that might have last minute family emergency that may occur, it's all about the money!! I will never step into this place ever again! And I would not recommend...
Read moreMy mom and I got facials yesterday at Drew Patrick. Every single employee was super!!! I had Milli, and my mom had Fariba. Both Estheticians were top notch!!
Neither esthetician tried to up sell, as other reviews mention. They simply offer things based on what they see with your skin. There was absolutely no feeling of pressure to buy something you don’t want. You say no thank you and move on or accept the offer. In addition to reviews that criticized up selling, I noticed other reviews that criticized the 24 hr cancellation policy. I am married to a business owner that has this policy as well. Businesses cannot reschedule your slot, if you do not give the courtesy of canceling ahead of time. These people giving low reviews for that reason should be banned from reviewing.
Back to our experience. Both Milli and Fariba were EXCELLENT!! The table you lay on is soooo comfortable, and they adjust it to your liking. We even compared notes on the nice neck, ear, arm, and hand massage they give as well. We took showers afterwards which was a nice way to end our spa experience. Great shower!! Drew Patrick Spa is spotless, and the ambiance is everything you expect a spa to be. It was my mom’s birthday and they were so kind to her. The owner, Drew even invited my mom to take a peek at his office which used to be a bank vault. She had seen his interview on channel 12 news. We both left with our faces aglow, and said we should do this once a month! Thank you, Drew Patrick for making my mom’s birthday...
Read moreThey have a 24hr cancellation policy and would charge you 50% if you cancel 24hrs of less. However, they called me twice to change my appointment under 24hrs. The 50 min massage actually is only 40min. They request you get there 15min early. I have no problem with that but they should bring you back to the room at least 5 minutes before your start time. My 5:30 appointment started a couple minutes later then she brought me to the room. She left the room so I can get on the table but came back 5 minutes later and then stopped the Massage a 6:20pm. Island Salt and Spa in Sayville actually uses a timer so you always get the full massage time you paid for. I also was looking forward to some hot tea while waiting but the tea in the craft was ice cold. This is a luxury not a necessity and I was so disappointed. I have been going there for years the place is clean which is important but not worth the money the massage was not...
