Minoa Library — Attraction in Town of Manlius

The staff here is rude, unfriendly, and downright incompetent. On top of the many issues i want to talk about, ill keep it short with today experience. I come to the Minoa Library several times a week to print for college. The staff always behaves like it is an inconvenience i come. I have a very tight schedule between work and class. Due to the pandemic my college no longer has the resources available needed by students that they used to. I can only print once a week on campus, assuming their computer rooms aren’t already at capacity, and i have professors posting assignments daily. Although i am not at the Minoa Library long i am here often enough that the staff here knows that I am here to print. I take all about 10mins of their day away for this simple need. Not only are they always rude to me but they started closing down the computers a half hour early knowing when i will be coming! Yes 30mins to closing as if computers take that long to be shut down. Then the front staff had the audacity to lie to me about the time. She tried to make it seem like they were closing in 20mins like that’s any bit more reasonable, and said to come back tomorrow. The clock clearly showed there was a half hour left. Then, in the short time i wrote this review in my car, i could see all the staff walking out of the library wayyyy earlier than closing hours! This library is a public service and should not be closing early when there are people who rely on it. If you plan on closing a half hour because you don't feel like working then change your public hours. Just because my place of work closes at 11pm doesn’t mean i can turn someone away because we “close” in 5 mins let...

I have been going to the Minoa Library since moving here in the 1970's. The staff here is always courteous, competent and knowledgeable. There have been times when they have helped me to print out and faxed things. They have always been friendly and professional. To the person that wrote the previous review, there is a sign at the check in/ check out counter that states that the computers will be shut down 30 minutes before closing. It's not new, it has always been there and I know this because I am in this Library every two to three weeks.
