Cook Mansion — Attraction in Town of Montour

We will definitely be back! As we are driving back home today we are discussing the family annual trip with my mom and coming here as well as bringing our own children and grandchild here soon. The Shequaga room was beautiful waterfall view right outside window, had black out curtains for my husband who loves the dark and the bed was both beautiful also comfortable. The breakfast was hearty, tasty, and there was a variety. The host Kris very personable, accomodating and a wonderdul guide of the area. He followed up with us on our needs, thoughts if the meals and just how our excursion went. He was genuine, and committed to phenomenal customer service. The location near Glen Watkins National park the Gorge trail a must experience. We did the vineyards for tastings and I have to say that the Glenora vineyard had the most comprehensive tasting providing cheeses to compliment tge wine. We rented out the building and grounds for our wedding weekend and it was spectacular. Many, many thanks to the amazing owners and the host for helping our event go smoothly despite the weather. Everything was beautiful, the grounds were well taken care of, and the customer service was top-notch. The price was reasonable for the experience we got for it- it was so incredibly fun and meaningful to have the ability to have the entire bridal party (all from out of town and out of state) stay in one place together! We have so many great memories from cook mansion and look forward to making many more in the future, as we will absolutely return for business as often as we can! A perfect place for our 3-day Thanksgiving family reunion and our secret Santa gift exchange. 14 of us were totally comfortable. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Huge kitchen with 2 stoves. Two dining rooms with huge dining tables - which were also perfect for playing board games and playing cards. A parlor and a living room. Conveniently located to a Tops Supermarket in Montour Falls and more stores in Watkins Glen to the north, or in Horseheads to the south. Tops is where we grocery shopped and had pre-ordered a 20# fresh turkey. The house is very old but well cared for. It was very clean. A waterfall in the backyard was the "frosting on the cake".
