Im really disappointed with the free breakfast they have😡just a freakin' coffee and fruits...... i was hoping its a egg or bacon but neither of those I thought are none... very awful place if you're looking to stay here.... One night me and my wife and one of our friend are smoking outside our room playing some bon Jovi and bruno mars some Spanish music also, at first we were having fun but sadly it was cut off early coz another guest complained that we were loud even though you can't even hear it inside the room and we're literally on front of our room so the clerk came to us and asked us to lower it down that was like around 9:30pm and so we complied we turn it down and then.... one of the guest arrived around 10:00pm and heard our music went inside his room like 5mins later the clerk came to us again and said to not to play music outside anymore because some of the guest are leaving coz of our music they said to the clerk that they don't feel safe to stay coz of that.... and then we went to the office to talk to the clerk and asked an early check out and refund us the rest coz we feel discriminated by the people staying at the motel but the clerk said he can't refund us anymore because he lost 3 guest already and I'm pretty sure he's lying coz i only saw one vehicle left from the moment he came to us until the time we went to his office. 😡😡😡😡😡😤😤😤 very upset to this facility limited breakfast and a liar...
Read moreIs the Falls Motel a graded 4 property, probably not, more like a 3.5, but there were a few little things I liked that made me bumped it up a category. It is located about 2 miles south of Watkins Glen just as you are entering Montour Falls. It has only about 30 units and sits on a hill a block or two from downtown Montour Falls. It is about 100 yards or so from the famous and beautiful Shequaga Falls, that is used as the opening scene on Hallmark Mystery movies. |I liked that we pulled our car up to your room number, a feature I have always liked remembering all the times in the 1960's and 1970's we did traveling a as kid with my family. The room was very clean, fully furnished and the beds were comfortable. They had a grab and go breakfast that was nice with Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, Hostess pastries, bottled juices, coffee and tea. They also had very fresh fruit, bananas and apples the 2 days we were there. It was just enough to get you on the road without spending an extra $25 that you could use towards lunch. The 4 staff members we came into contact with during our stay were all very friendly and helpful.|The Falls Motel was probably built in the 1990's, and the rooms aren't fancy, it doesn't have a pool, restaurant or bar but it was clean, reasonably priced and for whatever reasons I liked it and would stay here again versus some of the other higher priced lodgings...
Read moreThis was a random "dart thrown on a map" kind of choice. We had no real plans, just decided to get away for the weekend since our original plans fell through, and we could not have been happier!!
This is a no-frills kind of place, but it's scrupulously clean with a good "vibe". The owners are very sweet and extremely attentive. They know this area well and had a ton of ideas for things for us to do. The motel is legit within walking distance from the Chequaga Falls & the village of Montour Falls, and all the history this cute little place has!
We did stay in the suite that had a HUGE bathroom with a 2-person jetted bathtub & a separate shower. It was so clean! The suite had a kitchenette with enough essential utensils, a mini fridge, and microwave. There were 2 really nice leather swivel rocker-recliners in the area in front of the king bed, facing the TV & the gas fireplace!!
Then there's the bed. It is fabulous!! I haven't slept that well in quite some time!! (It's a Tempur Pedic! 12/10 highly recommend!)
We have not stayed in any of their "regular" rooms (yet) so I can't speak to those, but I can only imagine the attention to detail is still there.
The pride of ownership definitely shows. The family obviously takes their property seriously.
We would definitely stay here again, and have actually already talked about it :)
Call them directly for...
