The Falls were breathtaking. We were heading elsewhere, so just passing thru. I mentioned i had never been to Montour Falls, NY. So we stopped. The first look was unbelievable. I couldn't get to my camera quick enough. All i saw was the falls straight ahead of me in this cute little bitty town. from the parking spot to the falls is right in my pictures. Yes, it's a park. But i didnt see anything bigger than what my pictures show you. Unless there is an actual parking lot somewhere that I did not see, you can not stay long. I feel there must be a parking lot somewhere close. Public local parking is all I saw. I did not see a childrens park as far as swings or a slide. I didn't see hiking. There were some benches, children could run around in the lawn if its empty while you are there but a nice little peaceful park where if you have time, the perfect place to park yourself on a bench and watch the falls or sit in the grass and...

Beautiful waterfall and very romantic spot to bring that special friend and share a memory that'll last a lifetime. But don't worry, the whole family will enjoy the powerful falls and there's a large grass area where the kids can walk around safely. There's no playground or anything like that, and people normally take it all in, get a few awesome photos, and then let the next set of folks cycle through. The cell service is perfect for sharing your adventures on social media or sending to friends and family. The only negative is finding a parking spot can be a challenge. There's no parking lot and street parking is limited. Even if you have to walk from main street though, it's worth it. Just check out...

This is a super famous set of falls that's right in downtown Montour Falls near Watkins Glen. I always wanted to stop here since they always show it on the NASCAR coverage of the Watkins Glen race. It's very easy to get to. There isn't a ton of parking but you can park on the street and it's a quick walk to the falls. There's actually a park here with a large viewing area of the falls. The falls are very impressive and there's an imposing bridge at the top. We went after it had rained a good deal and there was a decent amount of water. You can visit at night and they have lights on the falls. This is a must stop location if you...
