If I read all the negative reviews prior to my appointment, I definitely would not have gone. Although there are 5 times more "5s" than "1s", I never frequent a business with SO MANY "1s". Now you have another. I agree with a few of the reviews, and I read all the "5s" too. Tells me that it depends on who you interact with. Since there is not one person there that is in the photo from 4 years ago, I would worry about that if I was the owner. My review is detailed and very long, but I still have a loose implant bridge and have to wait till next week for another appointment elsewhere. Others said it and I will echo it. Felt like a used car dealer trying to sell me another car because I had a flat.
I was very happy with all the service, right up to the doctor. Front desk was very polite and effective. The technician that took the xrays was extremely efficient and had a great bedside manner. The "doctor" on the other hand was very unfriendly and condescending! I don't know her name because she did not introduce herself. I was very happy with all the service, right up to the doctor. Front desk was very polite and effective. The technician that took the xrays was extremely efficient and had a great bedside manner. The "doctor" on the other hand was very unfriendly and condescending! I don't know her name because she did not introduce herself. I came in because my bridge was loose. She told me that it was loose because there was more bone loss around the screws that holds it in place, making it unstable. NOTE: Every oral surgeon's website that I can find point to 1 of 3 reasons and fixes for a loose implant bridge.. NOT ONE mentions anything about replacement. Everything points to the screw, or the process in which it is attached. Here's where my concerns are that I discussed with Amanda. I don't even know the doctor's name because she did not introduce herself. There was no one else in the office, so she couldn't have been too busy, but since she left the building for lunch, IMMEDIATELY after I was done, it confirmed what I thought. She was in a rush. Here was my question that was relayed to her, without any callback. While I was there, xrays were taken and she determined that 4 teeth be removed, ALONG WITH MY 4 POST BRIDGE and replace it with...... another 4 post bridge. If there is so much bone loss that my existing bridge can not be stregnthened or re-attached, how is a new bridge going to be attached?? I asked her for options and she said there was no other way.... I spent $15,000 on that bridge 2 years ago and she acted like no big deal. I will not be coming back and I will be posting this on a google review. I'm not sure if she was really a doctor or not since she did not introduce herself... Very cold bedside manner. In 2024, with online reviews dictating the consumer's decision to use or not use a business, she should not be in so much of a rush and so pompous to tell me that the ONLY solution is to pull 4 teeth and replace my 4 post implant with ASPEN'S 4 post implant. Another solution that I found online on oral surgeon's websites is to dowel the hole with maple or mahogany or something and then re-drill and re-tap the hole. The implant is not defective and should not be the only solution to replace it!!! You don't replace a hanging light from your dining room because the screws are not holding it securely anymore!! This was a very arrogant attempt to SELL me a new implant bridge that would now cost well over $20,000. NO MENTION was made to go back to my dentist who did the work because it was only 2 years ago. Rip it out and replace it with an ASPEN implant bridge is the only thing I could do... Really?? Check all my reviews. Good or bad, I tell it like it is. Speak to Amanda; she knows how...
Read moreThis had to be the worst Dental experience I have ever had. So many negative situations. I made an appointment for a CLEANING. When I got there, they told me cleanings are not done on your first appointment. They needed to put me through a “check up” first. This took over one hour. The front desk was abrupt and appeared to be bothered with any questions that I asked. Then the dental assistant who did all of the x-rays, came out to get me. He was extremely cordial and the only one I really had no issues with. Then a hygienist came in the room and identified herself as the hygienist so I’m thinking she’s going to clean my teeth. Instead, she said she needed to probe my teeth to determine what kind of cleaning I needed. I felt like I was at a car wash trying to decide which level to get. She seemed annoyed when I asked her two times, “what are you going to do in my mouth? “. again, she did not clean my teeth, which is really what I went to the office for. Then the dentist comes in. She did identify herself, though with the mask on, it was impossible to hear what her name was. She did a two second round of my upper and lowers, I had to ask if she saw any cavities and until I told her about my bottom right molar, she said nothing out of the ordinary. Then all of a sudden she said I had an infection and needed a retreat of an old root canal. Do I though? Or was this an upsell attempt in a big conglomerate like Aspen Dental ? Hmmmm, that is the question. She started talking about getting it done there and if I need a retreat, I will go to my own endodontist. The woman who checks you out was checking someone else out so I had to wait nearly 15 minutes. I asked for a copy of my x-rays, she said emailing them is quicker than printing them out. I had to make three phone calls to the local Newburgh office to get a status on where the email was. Terry, who answered the phone three times, said there was nothing else they could do and for me to call the corporate office if I choose to. The Corporate Office said I needed to sign an authorization form which the Newburgh office never gave me. Corporate also said my email address was not in the system. Had to make two calls to the corporate office to follow up, on hold 22 minutes and 25 minutes respectively.
I know this Google review is extremely long, but this was such an unusual disappointing experience. In speaking with a friend in North Carolina, she said one of her clients also had a terrible experience. When you have over 900 offices nationwide, I guess you get zero personal Service. You are just a number walking in there and nobody cares to meet you, introduce themselves, and establish a rapport. Personally, I would not recommend this type of dental facility. In addition, I would suggest that someone monitor the training in your different locations to ensure they are all on the same page and they know what they are doing. This was one...
Read moreI’m so upset with this place!! I received the bill over $1000 for A bridge I did with them. I was told at the time that my insurance will cover the bridge and here come two months later I received a bill Stated that I owe aspen dental over $1000 because my insurance didn’t cover it all. Which I cannot afford.. nor fit in my budget. I did called my insurance company 1199 to find out what was going on and I was told to speak to Aspen dental about this bill because they couldn’t do any adjustments and Aspen dented should had told me that I was going to be billed for this procedure before I got the job. If I had knew that I was going to be billed...I would had never done it until I can afford it!! The bill is another mortgage .. smh. I called aspen dental and spoke to someone in the billing department and she stated she couldn’t help me but to offer me a payment plan. I let her know that I wasn’t told that my Ins wasn’t going to pay for all of the procedure. Which I know they tell you up front when you have to pay for something that your Ins don’t cover.. because I do remember them telling me that my Ins didn’t cover the White cap for the cavities and I had to pay for that upfront before my son was getting the job done at the time .. so why they couldn’t tell me the same thing about the bridge before I got the procedure done.. I think this is unacceptable and they should tell there patients what the ins could pay and what they can’t pay before a patient. Does a procedure.. So the patient should know what to expect or if they can fit it in their budget. I will be going to aspen dental to pulled my and boys record a as well because I never in my life had to pay a bill in any other dental office with My Ins 1199, And I had this Ins over 10 Years. So they must be over charging Ins company!!! And yes I will pay aspen dental 5.00 a month because that’s all I can fit in my buget and so it doesn’t affect my credit, But it will be the last time they will get me and my family business!!! I will also will let other know not to go there . Im so disappointed with this ...
