Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in Town of Newburgh

I used to love this place - but the last couple of times I’ve been there the food hasn’t been good. Scrambled eggs looked so unappetizing and had an odd consistency, spoon in silverware wrap had crumbs on it upon opening the napkin. I’d say the worst of this visit was our waiter. I unfortunately did not catch his name but he was probably the worst waiter I’ve ever encountered. Not friendly at all, no smiles, no nothing. Barely came to our table. Once right after we sat down and asked if we were ready to order (we said no). Came back three mins later asking us again, we ordered and then he came to bring the food but made sure to have his thumb sticking into my friends food. He then, and to me this is the worst part of the experience, came to our table maybe 10mins after he brought our food and lifted the syrup holder up, placed our bill underneath it slammed it down said “ok” Unser his breath and walked away. Didn’t see him after that. We didn’t ask for the check. He never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks as we had already finished them. Never asked if we wanted to order anything else... just randomly brought the bill while we we literally in the middle of eating and said nothing more to us. I should note we were never rude to this waiter, we were very polite, saying please and thank you, we smiled, etc. so we did not deserve to be treated this way. This man alone, has sealed the deal and I’m never going back to this...

We were seated fairly quickly. Our waitress didn't immediately ask us if we wanted anything to drink. She passed our table and acknowledged the people opposite us who arrived after my fiance and I did. After walking back and forth a couple of times she then came to our table and asked if we wanted something to drink. We asked for coffee and waited a bit for that. Even though we were ready to order, she left and came back a longer while later to take our order. 3 1/2 cups of coffee later, we had decided to just pay for the coffee and leave to somewhere else, just as we were about to leave, the waitress came with our order. We waited an hour for scrambled eggs and bacon, 3 eggs, bacon and sausage links with pancakes. Definitely disappointed. I wasn't going to leave a review but this has been the second time that we have experienced this at the Newburgh NY perkins location and I have to say we most likely will not dine at this Perkins location again. I would have at least expected out of common curiosity for the waitress to excuse the fact that our service was taking so long and why maybe but nothing. As soon as she arrived with our food she left out bill. Definitely not impressed. Food turned out cold even after waiting an hour. The only thing that was hot...

We had a large party (9) . We arrived almost half an hour early to let them know and give them time to allow a couple of the tables to clear, so they could be pushed together to make a large enough table......the hostess told me it would be a "little bit", and I told her that was fine, that we had come early to give them time... The rest of our party all arrived, and we continued to wait watching them seat others who arrived after, including a party of 7. They had 2 empty tables next to each other, and instead of pushing them together, they sat a party of 3 at one of them. After waiting for about 50 minutes, my husband asked about a table and was told that she had already told me it would be "a little bit", they don't have tables for large parties. We called IHOP and they were able to seat us, so we left, after letting the hostess know. When we told her that we were leaving, she said "perfect, thank you". Obviously they weren't trying to get...
