Olcott Beach — Attraction in Town of Newfane

Stopped at Olcott The other day for the sunset and was able to get some great pictures. I like the platform off of the pier which seemed fairly new. As far as places to really get comfortable and hangout, there isnt much.. There used to be a rocky beach you could hang out at but it seems to be blocked off or almost destroyed. A beautiful lake to look at lots of birds different species of birds. Most of the time the water is nice. Sometimes after a hard rain it brings up all the algae and it makes it just look dirty. Great fishing on the lake. The beach is cool they put in sand so you don't have to step on lake Rock. On certain hours they are open and they have lifeguards on site for emergencies. When I went summer ‘20, sadly all the cute little shops were closed. You were still able to walk out onto the pier and enjoy the sun. The beach was also closed due to the high water level. However, it was still a very enjoyable experience. I was able to relax on a bench and soak up the summer raze. This place is cute, and can’t wait until it up and running...
