Westbury Wine & Liquor — Attraction in Town of North Hempstead

Hello, my name is Edwin, I gave us a 2 star, the store is very well organized, and they have tons and tons of variety selection, but the one thing that I did not like so much was the staff. I was there on April 14th in search for my needs, I was confused and needed help and about 4 employees passed me and ignored me and rather asked everyone else in the same lane, if they needed help, or if they were ok. I was the only Hispanic in this moment, so I felt very uncomfortable and decided it was time to go. Before I head out, I also went next door to look for syrups and puree and I tried to get a worker's attention and she rather left and acted as if I weren't there. As soon as I entered, smelled like someone smoked something illegal. Definitely not many wine choices. Nothing looked familiar... Wine I bought was $9.99 and cash register clearly showed the price was $10.80 including tax and employee said it too. And when I got home, realized the card has been swiped for $11.00. How does $9.99 become $11 with tax? I didn't know NY sales tax was more than 10%??? Is this how you keep side money from customers?

Beware of the card policy of this store. For a bottle that’s $14.99 , I was charged about $21 because I used a debit card. Not only is this illegal, the underage kid selling it to me shouldn’t have been there in the first place. I am reporting this place to the town and state. The kid said this is “policy”.
