Upon driving up, arrival was well organized and the line was organized and went fast. The place is beautiful and scenic on the Hudson River. However, my bliss quickly turned to disappointment. 1. Children under a certain age should remain in the kid area, if you are looking for a bit of getaway from kids this is not it. Families were splashing and diving in despite signs being posted not to do so. 2. I saw multiple people getting in the pool with tank tops on and underwear and shorts that were not designed for pool wear. I kept waiting for someone to come around and check to ensure that sanitary NYS Health department standards were followed but no one passed through. I was disappointed because that is a huge hygiene issue. Also no one passed through the showers before entering the pool area. YUCK. Lastly a group sitting next to us brought a bunch of children and one of them kept urinating on the ground next to us each time they exited the pool. As a result the stench became overbearing and my husband and I decided to leave. The stench was not there prior until the group came and sat next to us and we noticed the smell after a while (mixed with the heat) it was way too much for us. Instead of staying until the end of the day we spent about 3 hours there and decided to leave due to the smell. The club entrance is not free it is $20 for adults which is affordable for an awesome view, but the fact that no one was looking out for entrants being hygienic was bothersome there should have been large signs posted "NO outside clothes in the pool such as your underwear and shorts, POOL ATTIRE ONLY" I saw none. Also signs about using the bathroom in pool. The food was ok but overpriced, the drinks were decent and the wait staff come around frequently are polite friendly and fast with drink orders we had a great waitress. This beach club would be rocking if they kept it to...
Read moreSummer of 2025 has finally started and Tallman Beach & Pool Club after 8 weekends of rain and I couldn't be happier.. Establishment is now under new management and have a Brand New Bbq Menu to choose from. I’m not gonna lie I miss my nachos and my Fried shrimp that you guys took off the menu please bring it back lol. It's always great to see your favorite servers and staff after a long winter season. Tallman employees are always hospitable to all. No matter how busy they might be taking your orders in the hot sun. Today was the first time I saw guests (men) being very disrespectful to the staff. Unfortunately they were multiple guys playing football in the middle of the pool. Numerous times the ball was hitting other kids, females etc, some of the guys said sorry some acted like you were in their way. After multiple complaints from both sides of the pool they were ask by staff to put the Football away. This caused a whole bunch of grown men to be in their feeling, it's like they couldn't grasp that no meant no. They were not young kids they were in their 20's and 30's. Your lifeguard definitely showed valor standing his ground expressing to those guys they can no longer keep bothering other guest while playing. Many of them still kept harassing him why they couldn’t continue their game. After that It was time for me to go. Pool is not huge for 20 guys to be playing football. Not cool to give staff a hard time for doing their job. It’s also sucks that grown adults don’t know how to follow rules and act right. Smoking vapes and hookah pens at the pool around kids that are playing is disgusting. Especially when they provide a smoking section with seats for your convenience in the back. How hard is it for adults to follow rules without having to be micromanaged like kids.
Definitely a different experience than...
Read moreIs this supposed to be a family spot? But for some reason it felt like a bar for women and men to hook up. Men gawking and women up in display. Saw a guy that was with his wife/gf/woman and kept just gawking at all the women showing their assets. Heard guys talking about "you get the skinny one and I'll take the other one". The vibe mid-week felt like a 20s-30s bar happy-hour-weekend crowd. I saw the place on TikTok and it felt like everyone on TikTok was there the day I went. The place doesn't look ghetto but a lot of the people that were there were! The kiddie side was a better vibe than the main pool. They have patio chairs on both sides but the blue lounge chairs (none by the wade pool) in the main side were all taken. Some of the umbrellas are actually broken, had to get one of my bobby pins to clip it to open. There's no drinking in the pool but people were doing it still. The pool water looked murky at 12pm and by time I got in the pool had a slimy feel to the water plus there was hair floating everywhere. The food is overpriced and mediocre at best but the drinks were super strong. I had mixed feelings about this place. Also they have a parking lot at the foot of the park entrance and one down by the pools but that one was full and you can't go down with the car to see. Don't bring outside food or drinks because they will ask you to leave it with the security guards after you put your name on it. Entrance fee: $15.00, although there's a season pass you can purchase I believe which might offset the entrance fee, not sure. The park itself has nice views and seems like it's good for a hike in the woods. But if you park by the entrance you will have a hike back to...
