TWK Community Market & Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Orangetown

I normally love The Market but yesterday was different. Me and my friends usually drop in during a Saturday morning bike ride. We always look forward to the great food here after 20+ mile ride from NYC. But yesterday I came alone and something was off. I sat down inside and waited for what must be close to half an hour. I understand that they were somewhat busy but after clearing of at least 2 tables, I thought the 2 staff people there would come and take my order. But I it felt like they were looking past me and ignoring me on purpose. I couldn’t wait any longer and just walked out. No one even bothered to ask if everything was OK. Wouldn’t it be strange for someone to sit down for half an hour and just walk away? Well, I’m leaving this feedback mainly for their awareness. Hoping that this was merely an oversight. Not sure if they are making a serious effort not to serve cyclists that frequent this small town on the weekends. So really looking for answers and explanation.

The Market Is the perfect place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast you could get anything from a bacon jam, egg and cheese to pillowy pancakes too fresh gravlax. The market has an extensive tea selection and makes great coffees, cappuccinos, lattes, etc. They even let you leave with your coffee in to go cups so that you can stroll the village freely with it after your meal! For lunch you can't go wrong with one of their amazing sandwiches or pizzas! For dinner, be sure to arrive early as they do not take reservations and welcome guests on a first come, first serve basis. With decadent dishes like oysters Rockefeller, bucatini carbonara and chicken scarpriello it's evident why it's hard to get a table here on a Friday night! Aside from the great food, the staff always welcomes everybody with warmth and makes you feel like family. The Market is more than just a Market, can't recommend...

All my wife can say is 😲.. This place is outstanding. Definitely a 2👍. Many typical breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Some unique salad and meals that make this place stand out. We had the shrimp and fennel salad over arugula, duck confit over endive...both had complex but perfected flavor profile. The duck burger was a hit also. Ground duck topped with flash fried onions and a duck cracked mayo served with fresh cut fries... They have coffee and tea here. Plenty of drinks CBD infused. House made ice cream. They are building a bar opposite side of the food. If I lived here, I would hang out here... If your in the area, definitely stop here. You won't be...
