Cantiague Golf Course — Attraction in Town of Oyster Bay

Always packed with slow players. A couple with nobody in-front of them is playing 2 balls each and every single person is waiting behind them. A guy came to teach his daughter and held up play so long people left and 9 holes took 4 1/2 hours. Bad players don't understand that if people are waiting on you don't keep trying to hit the ball 10ft…go pick it up and drop it closer to the green so play can resume at a decent pace. Never again will I go, shortest out of 4 times was 3 1/2 hours…..almost 30min a hole for a very easy 9 holes mainly par 3’s. Its great people are learning but you cant hold up play on every single hole and back the whole course up. The driving range is expensive too for 70 balls its $7. Other places have 125 balls for $10. I have no issue with the golf course. the course is fine for a 9 hole couse. It has a good mix of par 4's and par 3's. Great course for a beginner. My issue with course is how Nassau County rakes you over the coals if you are not a Nassau County resident. I understand charging a little more for out of county residents but the difference in cost is outragous.
