I dont even know where to begin! Was looking forward to spending the day with my kids at the pool but boy was i disappointed. This pool has way to many unnecessary rules and the life guards/staff are all rude. They yell at little kids who are just trying to have fun. They didn’t allow floaties that go around the arms for the small kids. So i had to carry my two small children in the pools because the baby pool was closed for the whole day. If they aren’t allowing floaties, why is the baby pool closed ? The diving board pool closed at 2pm sharp. They literally kicked me out of there like a dog while i was waiting on the very long line to dive. That pool stayed closed for the remainder of the day. They didn’t allow us to take pictures of our kids in the pool! Another bizarre rule. The whole day me and my kids we’re getting yelled at. We felt like we were in prison. Instead of a nice relaxing day, i couldn’t wait to get out of there and not come back! Definitely not worth it ! Ohh and they started closing the changing rooms at 5:45. The pool closes at 6. They couldn’t give us 15 min to change properly ? It was just a lot of negative vibes and very poor...
Read moreCantiague Park has a real garden feel to it. I can see the caretakers take pride in their plants but, it also seems as if the budget isn't much. But they did great with what they've got and there are some beautifully maintained plants and trees.
There is mini and regular sized golf available. I saw loads of benches and tables for picnics. There is also an ice-rink. To the back of the rink there are six basketball courts and three full courts with one entryway. There was a basket missing on my visit. Hopefully they'll sort this out before Summer Camp 2019.
The signs around says no dogs but hey, look at that couple over there walking rover. Smh. Now you KNOW if the tables were turned I'd probably end up on social media. Dog Watch Dorothy would have surely called the cops on me. Smh again.
If you're coming from the city, you'd need to get off at exit W2 W.
I luuuurve this park and took many pics of their...
Read moreI've been going to Cantiague park since 1970. The ice rink was my second home. Renting the rink at 2:00 in the morning .... great memories. I was 16-17 at the time but I remember dealing with the facility manager Wally, super nice friendly gentleman. Watching the Koho American hockey team bully the Nassau community college team, oh man that was crazy. Anyways a great park, from softball, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, basketball, tennis, handball, miniature putt putt & golfing WOW. Summer pool with a fun slide fantastic. Playgrounds and picnic areas. Very well maintained, super clean, secure and safe. Two large parking lots well lit. No concession stand other than the one in the rink which is seasonal. Food trucks during the summer. The only activity missing is an enclosed Dog Park, who knows maybe in the future. Thank...
