Dollar Tree — Attraction in Town of Oyster Bay

Avoid at all costs. I never write reviews. Just needed to pop in here quickly for a few basic items (one of them being balloons for someone’s birthday). The employees were incredibly rude. First employee told me not to go near the balloons and that I need to wait in the cashier line for one of the employees to assist in pulling the won’t balloons from drawers to then be blown up. Okay. I went into line, next employee told me shouldn’t be in line for balloons and started giving me a hard time about how limited their balloons are and that she couldn’t check the balloons, but then got frustrated that I had already identified the balloons I needed (in a drawer labeled 3 - the number I needed). Next and 3rd employee I got passed to started blowing up balloon and turns out it was a 5. She then said the 5’s were put into 3 drawer so she had no 3’s. Understandable, but then she refused to check the remainder of balloons in same drawer, and refused to check or let me check to see if there 3’s in any of the other various drawers that were available 2 feet away. Bizarre.

I visited this location on 4/27. I got on line number 1 there were 3 people ahead of me. Soon there were 6 behind me. As I got to the point where there was only one customer ahead of me with about 40 to 50 items, the manager decides to open up register 4 and 3. He made no announcement or anything. He just opened it up and all the six people behind me scramble to get to the open registers. I was still online waiting for the people in front of me to have their 50 or so items processed. Why wouldn’t the manager asked to take the next person in line instead of opening up the line to everyone now the people in front of me had a problem with their order and they had to call the manager over. So it was like spending 20 minutes in the storage to pick up a couple of items. I think that is poor management and customer service. Most disgusting store I've ever walked into despite it being a dollar store. Not only that but the older lady refused a pregnant woman and 6 year old the bathroom. "It was out of order" said it with an attitude and if that's true you should definitely fix it because I'm sure it's illegal to not have a working bathroom for your employees. Then I heard her complaining loudly that she would belucky if she would get out by 9pm (I was halfway to the back of the store and I could hear her) she also made some remark about the bathroom but I can't quote what she said because I didn't hear that as clear.
