Noor - Bridal Shop in Hicksville , New York — Attraction in Town of Oyster Bay

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to Noor today on my mother & grandmother’s request as they were quite excited to check out this shop for the first time. A lady was sitting there who was extremely rude and unwelcoming. We walked in and she did not even say hello or acknowledge our greetings. We asked questions and for help and she stood there with her hands in her pockets in a very disgusting manner. My grandmother asked her for help and she turned away proceeding to ignore her. My mother got a facetime call from a relative which was urgent and she got unprofessional with her and told her to leave the store saying she can’t record in here even though my mother informed her it was a family call she received on facetime. I had heard bad things about this place from others I know but decided to give it a shot due to my mother’s request but never again. There are so many other shops in Hicksville where people care about their business and genuinely want to help. Mind you, there was not a single other customer in the entire store so she was not busy with anyone at all. This place was absolutely amazing. I needed a traditional outfit for a Muslim wedding I am attending today. I’m American so I have nothing that would be appropriate (not that it was mandated) I called and spoke to Minnie, thinking there would be no way I can afford one of these beautiful outfits from a store in Hicksville since they are generally very expensive since there is so much put into them She told me she was willing to make me a saree with less than 24 hours notice!! I decided to go to the store to see what my options were, and there were so many. I’ve always wanted to attend an Indian wedding because I love the clothing and wanted an opportunity to wear something like this. Minnie was so helpful and so sweet. She pulled out many options to fit my size (I’m not skinny) as well as my budget. I left with a gorgeous outfit, the jewelry to go with it AND a customary gift for the bride. I only wish I had more functions to attend so I can wear more of these beautiful outfits. I would recommend ANY woman to shop here for your traditional needs. Mini from Noor to the rescue!! My close girlfriend was getting married. Together, we met up in Hicksville at a local shop to purchase attire for the wedding. I purchased a saree and had the local shop do alterations for my blouse and for the bride as well for her saree that she had ordered from India. The local store totally ruined not only my garment, but the bride’s garments as well so we had to start from scratch. I did an online search and found a neighboring shop that had really amazing reviews. Still skeptical based on our previous experience, we walked into the store, Noor, that we found online and were immediately greeted by the smiling owner, Mini. She graciously agreed to fix my saree and my friend, the bride, was able to find the most beautiful wedding saree as well. Mini literally saved the day. Not only was the customer service impeccable, but the results were amazing. In addition, I was able to purchase all of my accessories from her as well.
