County Players Falls Theatre — Attraction in Town of Poughkeepsie

This is an excellent local theater with diverse offerings in plays and musicals. Always well attended, you'd be advised to get your tickets in advance! The theater is attended by many older patrons which really makes it perplexing why it is not handicap accessible. You have to take steps in 3 places from entry to your seat. Passage ways are narrow so if you have an assistive device it would be difficult or impossible to attend. Parking is also an issue, having to find places on the street at some distance. We enjoy going to the plays they offer. I respect that it's 100 % volunteer! The only negative is parking. We received one ticket where we thought it was "safe". The town of Wappingers should really take notice.!! I noticed since last play we saw more restrictions!! 2hours only!!I I understand there are residents in area but something can be worked out. But then again "bureaucracy in government!! My guess is that more than 70% are older than 65!! Someone please...

Very annoying for neighbors in the area when there’s no parking because it’s inundated with the theaters patrons. After a long day at work it’s ridiculous to have to walk a quarter mile to get to your apartment because every municipal lot and street spot is taken.
